Folks! This is a small taste of Puglia and some of the places you will find out there! Il be showcasing more in a bit more detail in the next one! So who has been to any of these towns and what’s your favourite? And did anyone go blind for a moment when the sun hits those white walls 😎!!

I'm Apulian. Video is great, but to those visiting Lecce I would not recommend to eat octopus there. Best octopus/seafood can be found in the area around Bari, Monopoli, Polignano, Savelletri. In Lecce I would recommend trying out local pastries, Pasticciotti. Also, if you are visiting the area and are into art, make sure to stop by Galatina - its main church Santa Caterina is spectacular! Thank me later ;)

@@brecre9567 that's kind of a difficult question, Puglia is fairly big... so depends on what you want to do. If you want to go to the beach, I recommend staying anywhere on the coast of Salento (near Lecce), in the southern part. If you prefer food and strolling around, I recommend to stay near Monopoli / Polignano / Valle d'Itria. I do not recommend Bari because it's quite far from the southern part with beautiful beaches, and although it's very lively, it's not the best-looking city (sorry guys!). Also wherever you are, you need to move by car, unfortunately public transport kind of sucks. Wishing you a good trip :)

@@brecre9567it's worth to visit the Gargano area in the north of Puglia, it has everything from the beautiful Foresta Umbra to the beaches of Vieste or Peschici for example, good food and you go from mountains to beaches in 20/30 minutes driving

Ostuni-Gallipoli-Monopoli-Polignano a Mare-Fasano-Lecce-Brindisi is my favourite triangle in puglia. Beautiful beaches, great food and drinks all provided by people that know how to live very close to heaven, while still connected to their home soil.
Please remember that summer-life there begins "at dusk" and summer-work starts long before dawn.

Otranto also has a spectacular (and very moving) cathedral. The history and energy was more palpable in Otranto (it also has sandy beaches, if I am not completely mistaken... I think I remember sandy beaches). Granted, I went to Otranto in July and Gallipoli on January 1 so very different experiences.

I would plan for september, after the italian holidays with less crowds and temperatures in the mid 20s with the sea still relatively warm.
In october it can be rainy and sea and accomodations chilly and sometimes damp. It depends on your plans. I liked Lecce best after a thundershower when the rain was gone and the sun blinked through again.

Hi! This was really a nice video, but I would like to point out an inaccurancy: the glimpse shown at 7:43 minute does not belong to Locorotondo, it is one of the most charachteristic squares of Martina Franca, which is another cozy town in Puglia, located between Locorotondo and Ostuni, very rich in natural as well as architectural beauties, once named "the Queen of Valle d'Itria".
It is worth a visit for its baroque historical centre, its Ducal Palace, designed under the supervision of Bernini, its endless countryside dotted with uncontaminated woods, and, last but not list, its delicious food.

I'm from Bari, I believe that the beauty of all of Italy depends on its history. I think that all the countries that have had a long thousand-year history have many more things to tell than the others. Millennia of history have shaped the cities themselves into masterpieces. Then if you are also lucky enough to have beautiful landscapes, maybe yours could be the most beautiful country in the world
