Hey Coach Donny. My Mizuno Wave Momentum actually came in early than expected. They far exceeded my expectations. The traction and ankle support is to my liking. But I haven’t played in an actual game as of it yet, due to Covid 19. However, I am going to be playing soon in about a couple weeks and I am so excited. Love the video btw 🔥

Asics has been on fire 🔥 this year in general. Not only their volleyball 🏐 shoes but their running shoes have been fantastic this year. Asics is finally innovating and shaking off it's staleness.

I bought the Metarise in November 2020 or so... wasn't ever able to play in them because the team can't play due to COVID. I feel cheated D:

is there a difference between the ff mt and just ff?
@@Rhys-gv3ir yes the mt is a mid top and has higher ankle support where as the ff is basically a low top

Would you reveiw the asics netburner ballistic ff? And the ff mt stands for flyte foam mid top. Flyte foam is an asics cushioning system. Nice review cosch!
Flytefoam MidTop. They have non-MT (aka low tops) in the women's models. Flytefoam is their "new" cushioning foam that's supposed to be lightweight and decent.

I wanted the metarise but bought these instead, gonna play in them soon!
I just got these in womens low top as I don’t like high tops.
It was so comfy and snug but, I had to modify to cut off the grey part on the top/side as it was poking/rubbing against both sides of my feet badly and it felt more comfortable getting rid of it.
I almost returned but it felt so comfortable that I had to modify in order to keep this shoes to work out.
Can’t wait to use em on actual play tomorrow 🥳

Watching this after I got scammed in buying a shoes just like that and received a damn wreck shoes that obviously on stuck for years and not even a volleyball shoes😭😭 Really devastated as I keep that money for myself; not eating at school during break just to have a savings, as I'm currently in my journey in learning Volleyball as I don't have a opportunity before... but this damn experienced is just soo😭Anyway, I love this video and feel inlove more in that shoes! Hoping I'll get that shoes soon!

Could you review the Asics Gel Rocket 9 volleyball shoes? I know they aren’t top tier, but I recently bought them as my first ever pair of volleyball shoes and would love to hear your opinion on them. Keep up the great vids!
@@Dan-zt7uj Well I’ve used the Gel Rocket 9s for almost 6 months now and I like them a lot! I’m a setter so they provide good mobility and decent grip but not the best. Shock absorption isn’t crazy good but is pretty good. Idk about the gel rocket 9 but the look cooler. I’d imagine they are better but have no clue. Gel rocket 9s I can say are good tho, especially for a cheaper pair compared to others.

THANK YOU for the review coach! Unfornately this shoe dont have many references in internet compared to other basketball shoes, they even didnt have a rating in the runrepeat website, a site that rank the shoes and point their weknesses and benefits. So it's great to have a review from a volleyball youtube star like you, doing the review in a more common language, the english. The shoe was realised in 2019, to the Volleyball world cup and the Olympics, the Japan Mens Team had used for a time to promote the shoe too. So it`s kinda strange and bad that this GREAT and nice lookin shoe hasnt the visibility that it deserves. I bought in the beggining of 2020 cause my other shoe that I played volleyball with it was a Adidas Running shoe that, in the time, I was using for more than a year, my feet felt sore after every pratice and I knew it that I needed to buy a new one. I didn't hesitate to spend what I needed to buy the best shoes so I researched for a long time before buy the Fly Elite. And maaaaan, it worthed every cent that I spent, the best shoes that i've weared.
I had checked right now and they finally released a rating in the runrepeat website
but none from a specialist, its all from users
Does this shoe fit true to size?
@@Mark.o0 notice that the measurement are in the Brazil standards. I measured 41.5 size in the Asics Official Site but the store only had 41 and 42. I picked the 41 cause I still had a space to move my feet in the front and my toes didnt felt unconfortable. Almost 2 years passed and stills feeling great, I dont feel that its becoming smaller (im 18y old) and I dont feel that its softer than I want, specially in the front. The 42 when I test it felt bigger than I will need in the next years, even considering my growth. If you measure a number that the store has Nice! If dont and youre still growing year to year, consider picking one number higher (specially if you dont mind the space to move your feet). If youre older and you feet wont grow more, try one number below and make sure your toes will not touch the shoe tip. After testing (if you can) and feeling like the shoe have much space to move your feet and you want something more tight, try the Ballistic netburnet FF.

coach you should try the asics metarise. though it might be pretty expensive at around 200 dollars it should be worth it

I have the black and gold version of these shoes and can basically vouch for everything Coach Donny said. Regarding the longevity, I've been using it for a year and a half now wth careful maintenance. I think one of the biggest surprises was the no break in period, but the cushion and springyness of the shoes was pretty pleasant as well. Feel free to ask any questions!
I ordered the low versions of these shoes, Tokyo Elite FF (not the MT). Personally, i preferred the lows because I've been playing with mid top shoes everytime and i feel like they limit my movements (all out). I know it provides ankle support but is there any issues with the shoes overtime?
I really want to get these shoes but he mentioned about it rubbing the pinky toe and that’s exactly why I want to get rid of my old basketball shoes; have you experienced that?

Do they specify what type of mask you have to wear? I just tried a bunch of different ones until I found one that works for my face.
Its actually not bad wearing a mask...improves your stamina quite a lot

Hello, I hope you are doing good! I want to buy a pair of asics Sky Elite, and wanted to ask you if the insole of the shoe really measures the cm that the brand says? I have had problems with other Asics models, which measure 1 or 1.5 cm more than what they say they are, for example, my last pair was an Asics gel-sensei 4 that said they were 27.5 cm, but the insole of the The shoe really did measure 28.5 cm, and they were big and uncomfortable for me

I use asics volley ball shoes for playing table tennis. The jumping isnt there but there is a lot of similar leg work.

Hey Coach! Do you have any recommendations for shoes that were good for both wide feet and sticky traction? Your wave momentum video said it was good for wide feet, but didn't have great traction. And this shoe was great traction, but bad for wide feet! haha
Adidas explosive bounce were his favourite shoes I believe so you could try those or just binge watch his other reviews and see what fits you best, then again you won't know til you try some yourself

Can someone help me I have just brought these shoes but for some Reason there’s hard plastic in the back that is super uncomfortable and is pressing up against the back of my foot is there some way of getting rid of this feeling ?
