As a volleyball player this is so appreciated thanks man. I personally use the GT Jump because I've found that when jumping so much I want as much bounce and impact protection as possible. However, basically any shoe with a zoom unit in it is gonna be great
did u find it more tiring since it’s like more “squishy”, like do u find it more tiring to jump in the super aggressive cushioning set up
@@jacobsotelo6580 i found it the opposite honestly. Zoom units are actually less "squishy" than foams are, because zoom units require more force to get the energy return from than foams, they are better for explosive movements like jumping in volleyball where you're using a lot more force. The way i think about it is foams are comfier and better for constant use like running, zoom units are better for more explosive movements like jumping. It's not that foams are bad or anything, the tech for foams these days makes them pretty bouncy, so you should use whichever you prefer. The WOW 10 uses boom foam but its still crazy bouncy for example.
i also use the GT jumps for volleyball and they are really good. they take some time to get used and worn in though, so dont expect them to fit perfectly instantly

I also enjoyed playing volleyball in the PG 6. It does not provide the best cushioning but still good enough and the traction is just amazing.

I’ve been playing volleyball my entire life and have been training volleyball players for the last 7 years so have seen a lot of different shoes. I think this video is GREAT and I’d also add that volleyball players need minimal heel-toe drop and somewhat thinner, sturdier soles so they can stay planted and have good ground feel. For that reason, my personal favorites have been the Curry Flow line. Played in a few of the Curry 9’s and have been playing in the 10’s since the first ones dropped last year. The grip, weight, and bounce (carbon fiber shank inside) are unmatched. They aren’t very squishy, but as an outside hitter, I don’t need that. I want shoes that are extremely responsive. I train my body to handle the impact of the sport, and I shouldn’t be using my shoes to ‘protect’ me because in reality they’re just taking away from my explosiveness if they’re too squishy. Just putting this out there in case others find it helpful!
It’s hard to try on shoes nowadays, but if you can give yourself the opportunity to try on a pair, DO THAT.
Coming from a fan who plays a lot of basketball and volleyball, this is a much needed and helpful list. There’s a lot of crossover between the needs for shoes in both sports, and I always wear hoop shoes when I play volleyball. I also recommend the Nike Kyrie infinity’s for volleyball as well, since they’re light weight, have good lateral containment, and have good bounce due to the strobel unit in the forefoot, and zoom unit in the heel. However, the impact protection isn’t excellent since the rest of the cushion isn’t great.

Yep I’m a non basketball player always looking out for your vids about point guards as the shoes have a lot of cross overs with what we need. I’m always on the lookout for a shoe video to have an add on “volleyball players, this is good for you” so that’s a suggestion!
Pg6 for me. I play volleyball almost everyday and I own 3 pair of pg 6, 1 pair of the pg 1 and 2. Lebron 20 I have 2 pairs as well and I love them just as much.

As a VB player I'd add the PG shoe line if you are a setter since you have to run a little more and still jump
As a libero I recommend the Curry line

Other great options: Puma TRC Blaze Court; UA Curry 10; Nike Kyrie Low 5 / Great Budget options: Nike Air Max Impact 4; Adidas Stepback 3; Giannis Immortality 2 + I am about to test Adidas Dame Certified & Puma Court Rider 2.0. @@fushi_1927 it depends on your position and the type of player you are.. I would say; but in my personal opinion: Lebron XX, Puma TRC Blaze Court and Ja 1 are the best for high jump. The Ja 1 were not in my original comment but I have been tried those recenty and I gotta say they are my first choice for next season..

@@galactus-jashua5774 I did..I personally had some sizing issues, went true to size and it was too big, then went half size down and experienced massive heel slippage..that's only my personal experience, if you have sizing issues they really look like a great option for basically every position..and they are very budget friendly
ok, I managed to get a pair of Way of Wade All City 10 V2..got me to reconsider everything I have ever thought about indoor shoes..not gonna say completely disregard my previous comment..but kind of..
I've been playing in the Lebron NXT Gen and i prefer these over the Lebron 20 as they are thinner materials and not as bouncy. The NXT Gen feels faster as is not as bouncy.
As a volleyball player and basketball fan this is great content to see! I've been using basketball shoes for almost 2 years now because I think engineering and design overall is better in basketball shoes, in volleyball shoes you always get the same in a couple of different colors and that's it. I switch between Dame 8 and DON Issue 4 for both playing and training, feel better jumping in the Dames and better moving fast in the DON 4.
I find difficult to find the perfect basketball shoe for volleyball tho, as positions in volleyball and basketball differ a lot, if you want good traction you will get a PG shoe but usually those doesn't have great impact protection which a volleyball player needs a lot, then you get a Center shoe for great impact protection but traction might be no good and so on with different aspects of the shoes and the game jajajaja

As a volleyball player i have used way of wade 10 it very bouncy and i like it, it takes time to get use to it but its a very good shoe for indoor and last very long.
in my opinion another great shoe for volleyball is the curry 10

man finally, I did play volleyball in college (for fun), but because of money and I mainly played basketball, I played in a kyrie 3 hahahaha. that's horrible, my knees and back were hurting so much. Later I was asked to be the libero tho, so that's help. although in sparring session I might get the chance to play at the front row. Now, I've got a job and looking for a shoe to have fun with and won't kill my knees and back, thank you!

I wouldn't recommend the Tatum 1 I have already went through two pairs and cracked the plastic on the sides just from playing in them they are not durable at all but it was a good shoe while it lasted just they break very easily
