The original footage was filmed during the Elevation Tour at the FleetCenter in Boston on 6th June 2001, directed by Hamish Hamilton and produced by Ned O'Hanlon.

One of the best U2 concerts I’ve ever seen... still remember making a note of Edge wearing that number 7 shirt to ensure it really was the concert we were at being recorded. I wake up to this tune every single morning... it never gets old...
I have been, so, frankly, blessed. I am retired from the technical side of the industry.
I traveled 800,000 hard miles in 33 years. There are only 3 other acts that gave me GOOSEBUMPS as an audience member,EVERY single time the took the stage. That includes a 1982 Houston show at the then Music Hall(venue razed, WAR tour)as just a local hand. I was DUMBFOUNDED that this was not at a 20K+ arena!!!
Out on tour 2 months later, we get to RED ROCKS a day early because U2 was wrapping a FULL HBO SHOOT:

Boston 2001 is such an amazing concert. I hope they release the whole thing on CZcams...that night's rendition of The Fly is one of the all time great performances of that song.

You're so right! The Fly's rendition in this concert is one alltime favorite too. I have a soundboard/bootleg recording of the song, I don't remember from where I originally got it, it is also not clear if it's from the 5th or 6th June concert, but I like my soundboard recording even more than the "cleaner" DVD version 👍

This is the only band that I know of that hasn't degraded over the years but improved. Their style became modern but still theirs. They haven't become low sale puppets. Thank you Ireland for these four lives!!!
The only bands I know of that have gotten better or at least equal ground to their previous work is Skillet, Disturbed, & U2. Although, U2 did used to be slightly harder with songs like Vertigo, New Years Day, In The Name Of Love, ect. & such classics as Where The Streets Have No Name, With Or Without You, One, and I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For. But, every time I hear a U2 song I love it. Walk On, Elevation, Beautiful Day, that one Summer song was amazing & trippy(I forget what it's called) from their last album. They have a very long & impressive catalog of original songs. And they're still very underrated in this day & age. They are in my top 5 favorite bands of all time.

I work at a Publix, I hear the studio version of this song playing every damn day and get bored of it, but hearing this live version hits differently😌 I dunno maybe it has to do with how Bono changed the vocal melody, the acoustics, or the sound of the crowd cheering

i always chuckle a bit when i hear u2 play songs live and they make small "mistakes" in terms of the band repeating bars of intros and outros. in this version, you hear adam and larry stop early and the edge keeps playing the outro part for one repeat all by himself which is PURE MAGIC to finally hear that guitar part with nothing else over it. after he plays that part, he goes into the actual outro, but it's so cool to hear him do this!
Hope this whole concert will be available on Spotify especially Bad/40/Streets.
