that is so raw. what i love about her "older" voice is that it is so much richer in terms of expression and variety. and i actually prefer that to the crystal clear "younger" voice, even though that was technically brilliant.

I thought of Donna Summer when I listened to the snippet of this song on iTunes and Donna's genre versatility. She did various genres on her "Live And More" album, as well as on most all of her albums. This is one of three songs of of "Rarities" that I plan to buy.

She can really do anything. She is the only one to sing her more than 3 decades way throughout jazz, pop, rnb, soul, electro. This is versatility in everything- singing technique, genres, writing, collabs. I was amazed to firstly listen this as I hadn’t knew that one. I love the older, rusty, full, pinpointed voice and the charisma.

It says something pretty damn magical about this woman that her singing this old jazz tune somehow manages to make me feel Christmas.
Mariah is a phenomenal singer but Id also like to hear her sing this in soprano mode as well.
This woman can sing anything she wants... pure talent! She can sing the phone book and it would sound AMAZING.

I know Mariah isn't a jazz singer but I like what she did with this song. She brought an original interpretation that was all her own. Whenever I hear someone like Kelly Clarkson or Jennifer Hudson cover a song they always sound like they're doing karaoke. It's never as interesting as what Mariah does here.

I watched Sarah Vaughn and Billie Holiday's renditions of this Jazz classic, and Mariah did the song justice and added her signature style to it while incorporating elements from the aforementioned divas' versions.
In the album, this is the track I enjoyed the most.
