Hi Andrew, not sure if you figured it out yet or not but there is a switch on the shower head to turn on and off the water flow to conserve water, like being in the Navy. Get wet, suds up, rinse off. Saves a ton of water and gets the job done. I like it because you can set the water to where you like the temperature setting and then just jump in, flip the little switch on the head and boom. Hope that helps with the shower situation.

Andrew, I am glad you now know the beauty of Michelin Tires, I was so surprised with the first set I purchased, Great handling, no vibration or squirrely feel in the steering and best of all no hydroplaning at all, when it had been a real problem; I was amazed. This was thirty years ago and I have never purchased anything but Michelin for anything I drive. First thing I do is switch out the tires if anything else is one a vehicle. I also make my friends do the same thing when they need new tires, never had one not be happy with them.

I appreciate videos that point out typical problems or design flaws. Thanks Andrew. For your shower, try removing the shower head and turning the water on. Sometimes the screen gets blocked. The screw in the cabinet is called a Robertson Square Drive and was invented in Canada where it is the most common screw sold. They are virtually impossible to strip the head which makes them superior to a Phillips head screw.

A lot of respect, a non promotional upload pointing out particular "problems" you've had with your personal rig! However trivial some of them night seem, if it stops someone else from suffering through them (not many have an "inside man" at Mercedes!) then it's well worth it! 👍

And on the positive side, what went right with your Leisure Travel Van? Is there anything in particular you can fix yourself rather than sub contracting it out? . I have owned a Roadtrek 210 Popular for 17 years. You have to have a certain skill level to fix problems otherwise you will be waiting for someone to fix it for you. I am hoping to have Leisure Travel Van Wonder in my future.

I appreciate people like you, who don't lie about the state of their vehicles. I am the same, whenever I sell a car/motorcycle I have pre-owned, I always tell the buyer about all repairs, issues and things that sooner or later will require replacement/servicing. These are mostly minor things, but if not tended to, can become a nuisance. Btw, it is every single vehicle after a certain amount of miles/years that will have issues, that is why I have a new vehicle as my primary car and a new motorcycle every 4 - 5 years (I prefer leasing over buying).

Thank you, for sharing your experiences with your LTV! I was specifically looking for videos that provide specific examples of the kinds of problems people have with LTVs. So, this was the perfect video, for me.
After watching your video, I have to say that I am MORE inclined to purchase a Leisure Travel Van - because, none of the problems you listed were at all major. There are SO many things that can go wrong in an RV. And, many if not most of them have the potential of being much bigger than the problems you had. I'm thinking about things like leaks, slides not working, transmission issues, other drive train issues, electrical issues, delamination of surfaces, paint issues, other mechanical issues - things that can truly cost a fortune and ruin your experience of ownership. So, I was glad to see your issues were very minor. It reflects well on the quality and craftmanship that goes into Leisure Travel Vans.
I could easily tolerate such minor inconveniences, compared to the other potential issues I mentioned.
    Thanks, again!

Wow! Sorry you're experiencing so many issues. We owned a 2016 Leisure Travel Vans Unity Murphy Bed before our 2018 Tiffin Allegro RED, and I don't recall having any problems with our Leisure Travel Van. We traded it because we rescued a dog from the animal shelter who was supposedly a year old and fully grown at 39 lbs. He grew four inches longer and 41 lbs. heavier, so the Murphy Bed was just too small for the two of us and our 80 lbs. rescue.

That shower problem is super annoying, but overall not too bad as far as RV problems go. I have the same curtains in my Renegade Verona and even being super careful I am always breaking or dislodging those clips. I can't stand them and am trying to find another solution. My curtains do tuck behind the seat, so no worry about the window. Besides one plumbing fitting leaking, the Verona has been solid for its first 20,000+ miles.

I have seen the same shower issue before. As it turns out, the shower head can be turned off so you save water while showering. I recall a family member turning off the shower at the head and then turning the valve off. When I went to turn the shower on, no water. I didn’t realize what was happening until I saw a small dribble of water from the head.

I do not understand how they come stock. All new trucks that come in to my husband's work that have Continental tires get new tires before they get put in the fleet.

This may sound stupid Andrew but did you check the shutoff switch on the shower head. If it is pushed in one direction it will shut off all the water coming out of the shower head. It is meant to be used to save water. You use the knob to set the water temp and turn on the flow, then you push the switch on the shower head to let the water come out. If it is closed you won't get any water.

So add a Velcro strap to the curtain. BFHD.
The screw is a damaged Phillips. Someone used the wrong size driver. Twist it out with vice grips and replace it.
Put blue Loctite on the TP holder screw and tighten it.
There’s likely a shutoff button on the shower handle. Push it the other way.

The curtains you could buy some lexel caulking glue and glue on a drawstring assembly that matches the material or another matching strap
The plumbing, the more you familiarized you can design an after market flush valve
Just after this vid is another of the ford version the selling point is the tire pressure monitoring system on the drivers dash, I agree about monitoring the temp and pressure of the tires however it happens

I actually don't think that $1500 bucks is too bad for six new Michelins. I think often times, it comes down to peace of mind. They carry a number of brands including, but not limited too, Winnebago, Tiffin and Leisure Travel. We initially were interested in the Winnebago View (24D), but then were introduced to the Leisure Unity (MB) model. My initial review of both units left me feeling that the Leisure Unity had better build quality than the Winnebago. Please keep us posted on your experiences with your Leisure Van. That shower issue although I'm sure it was very annoying and upsetting at the time, I'd like to believe it's a quick - simple - fix with no further problems. Very nice unit - I'd buy one! Oh the humanity 😫 life must really suck to have enough money to buy one of those and then have the most trivial and insignificant things go wrong 😭
This is clearly a man who has never truly suffered a single day in his life 🙄

So... on the off chance that was your first time attempting to shower, the shower head should have an on/off switch to control the water flow. It might be one of those that allows you to heat he water first to reduce consumption.

Great vid! I want that permanent ceramic coating on whatever rig I buy. I've had it on 2 vehicles with it on at purchase now & I love it! Rinse & go!

Those aren't the problems. You should talk about the real issues like MB diesel engine emissions system like EGR, DEF, DPF, fuel injectors, loosing power, unable to start, etc.
LTV issues like obsolete loud and inadequate generator, small size batteries, inverter and solar system, company unable to customize order other than choice in their site, obsolete macerator and flimsy hose and amny more😮

Seems very strange that you had to waste $1,400 on Michelin tires when your Continentals were brand new. What a scam. I hope that you got your money back on that first set of tires, Andrew?

I have a car ( not an rv). Had the same problem. All you have to do is to take tires out, them put them back on... rotate tire 180 degrees while they are completely deflated. and that fixed the problem. One of the tires for whatever reason was not sitting properly. Just saying. This has worked many times. On different tires. But Im not a Mercedes expert. Just my 2 cents.

@@gandul1234 That makes sense. How could that brand be incompatible? It’s not as if they’re a no name label.

$100 for curtain fix?? I'd take those side curtain completely out and replace with those reflective inserts that fit the shape of window for night shades. Omo
That would drive me crazy as a driver or passenger!
