    I don’t know about you, but my 32 foot country coach can do everything you did in your little modified C class. Plus it has 100 gallons fresh water. Oh yeah and a 8k diesel genset. Best of all? It’s a country coach that can turn around on any two lane highway and go back the way it came. Just being a proud daddy! Keep up the great reviews.

    Nice to see a Leisure Van review. Dean from Leisure Van is a hoot and this review was fun also. It's an amazing small coach with large features and the Murphy bed rocks. It's a bit pricey but you get what you pay for and they do have two levels of product to choose from .... Cheers from Nova Scotia

    Nice review Andrew. Nice change of pace. The size dictates everything about a 40 plus foot diesel pusher. We only fill up at truck stops. We plan our stops on the road through rest areas, truck stops, etc...Thanks again for the content. I appreciate it.

    The mobility and ability to get into places are a huge plus. I'm with you on the holding tank sizes. The one thing I wouldn't like is having to set up and put away the bed every day. I wouldn't want to live in it, but it seems perfect for vacation getaways.

    Welcome Shay! I've been waiting for this cameo for long enough!

    Looking at a Unity IB and just can't wait to place the order. Of all the RVs we've looked at, nothing comes close to the quality and thoughtfulness in design as the Leisure Travel Van builds.

    Used to own that exact model. We really liked it but ended up selling it. It was just a little too cozy for me and my wife in the end...especially when you get stuck inside for a few days. Tank sizes and a washer and dryer were needed upgrades we wanted as well. Great coach though.

    I enjoyed the drive along in the Leisure Travel. Thanks for taking us on a tour of your van, it's pretty neat but like several mentioned too small, I like to have space but for weekends and short trips it's plenty. Shay good to meet you! So your dog Sadie has a companion, cool.

    Thanks for sharing more info on the Unity. I appreciate your videos and commentary. How about a video on a Unity with updated Mercedes chassis after 2019? The diesel genny is an option that I believe many people sidestep for propane because it is less money. In warmer climates the diesel genny is a must, it sips fuel off the rig tank and eliminates the hunt for propane fuel regularly. I have a Unity on order (1 year waiting but close to mfgr date finally) with diesel genny despite many trying to convince me to go with propane. Along with 400 watts of solar and some Lithium you have even more options for power. As for tank sizes it’s a trade off for the smaller chassis and weight when full. It’s not easy stuffing all this into 25’ and having storage room. This size is not for everybody but many are looking to go smaller. The quality and appearance of the Unity lineup is top notch.

    Nahhhh, I couldn’t gown that little thing, there are definitely benefits as you pointed out, but the benefits a full size coach out weighs the negative like 100 to 1.
    My 40’ bluebird with Cummins 650 will pass anyone just as easy, if not easier than you passed the uhaul. 200 gallons of diesel onboard means I dont really have to stop randomly for fuel anyway, and when I do, there are no shortage of truck stops and flyingJ around. My coach also doesn’t use propane, it’s all diesel/electric, so once the diesel tank is full, the diesel generator and aqua hot will run for days and days without the fear of running g out of fuel (propane), then there’s 150gallons of fresh water, 75 gallons of black, 75gallons of grey. All the interior space, huge storage in the bays, enough power to tow a loads stacker trailer.
    I’ll take to benefits of a full size coach any day over a little van. The occasional time I want to stop for McDonald’s, I’ll pull over on a side street and walk for it.
    For me, the key to the full size coaches is to not buy one that’s underpowered. They MUST have either a Cummins ISX, Cat C15 or a series 60….. anything less and it’s not fun to drive, it’ll be a dog.

    Good video on the van. Although this size coach is definitely not for everyone, there is probably a large amount of folks that can appreciate its overall usefulness.
    The best part of this video is that you have a good sidekick now on your videos. Hopefully she makes many more appearances in the future. Maybe even include her when you do your videos on the bigger coaches. The camera absolutely loves her. It looks like you two compliment each other.
    Do a future video on one of the newer models of this coach. I will venture to say there are a lot of your subscribers that would enjoy it.
    Safe travels to the both of you.

    Great Review! Consider one and getting rid of our 2018 Airstream Interstate Lounge...problem is a 2 year wait!. On this particular floor plan...my dislike is lack of light because the Murphy bed kind of makes it feel a little dark. I’m liking the new rear lounge...but still not for sure!!:)

    Nicely outfitted rig, but for full-timing I'd need the space and storage a Class A affords. Good for you though... your travel partner!

    • @xToddmcx
      @xToddmcx Před 3 lety +1

      Makes sense you'd be more interested in As since this is a channel about them. But he's not full timing in it. Plus the bigger coach, the less often you want to move it around. Class As, at least the bigger ones, you really want to go and sit somewhere for at least a week, probably more. Some people don't move As and fifth wheels for months. The more you move around, the smaller the coach you'll want.

    • @FrankBullitt390
      @FrankBullitt390 Před 3 lety +1

      Class A's are just too big, it would dictate where you go all the time and I'd like more control over that. I've settled on a 32 foot class C with the new Ford 7.3L instead.

  • @gkr2424
    @gkr2424 Před 3 lety

    The van looks beautiful. Had one pass us yesterday on Columbia River highway, guess it wasn’t you. If we were younger Yes, perfect! Everything on a class A is more expensive, it’s more stressful driving when you are in unfamiliar areas. Kinda like when you were driving the Prevost on 101 in Oregon, that’s the way I feel sometimes. But once you get the class A parked and you know you’re staying a couple weeks, yup just like home!

  • @roberthennel
    @roberthennel Před 3 lety

    I consider these more an office on wheels rather than a full-time RV (in the good sense). If you travel a lot to visit customers, like you do, it makes sense. Provides you with more or less the same comfort as a motel, the fees and operating costs are lower and the accessibility is better than with Class As/Cs. It is feasible to boondock in one of these for a night or two, or spend a month at Quartzsite, but you will be spending your time at hookup sites mostly, where the tank capacities are not an issue at all. Like sailboats. You have the amenities to use if you are on a crossing, most of the times you will use the facilities at marinas anyhow.

    I have the 2007 floor plan that has the L-shaped couch in the back. And it either can be a single bed a full bed or a queen bed. But I never leave it down so I do make it up every day which you don’t have to do. I chose not to get the Murphy bed because you can’t have it all the way down when you don’t use the slide. I love your shower much better than mine but I don’t spend much time in the bathroom to begin with. So all in all I love my motorhome.

    Great to see your review of the LTV and how you like the Murphy bed ease of use. The biggest thing holding me back on order, is how do you adjust to the either/or seating that vanishes when the bed is in use vs the Rear Lounge floorplan that drops a marginally smaller murphy bed while retaining forward seating. Saw a used Wonder yesterday that was the murphy bed floorplan. Tempting as it could hold me over for two years with some, but limited depreciation risk while waiting for a new Unity build with floorplan/options of choice.
