You’re one of the only channels that I’ve seen that does exactly what my son and I do, go cast netting just to see what’s around. Awesome job! Keep em coming!
That weird-looking spotted fish he was holding is a member of the Plecostomus family. I'm not sure which specific species, but probably from a home aquarium.
12 years ago at the Fish Gallery, we broke down an OLD customer's tank that had gigantic apple snails in it from way back when they where legal!!! THEY FED THEM TO OUR GIANT PET MBU!!!
In Washington state, in the Snake River the Pike Minnow (Squawfish) is considered invasive. You can not return it to the river under penalty of law (if caught you might forfeit cash). On the other hand one day a year they offer a bounty Cash. Was $5.00 per. Fish.
@@omaraldana4791 yes, I understand that, but I thought he out them all back in the water, which is why I asked "why NOT keep the invasive out of the water?"
@@AP-WhatsUp I'm only gonna focus on the long, locked down shots. It's Houston, there's way to much of this stuff to blur every time I walk past it, but I felt that in the camera shot I specifically set up that I needed to do that. I'm honestly not good enough with the software to get it to track moving shots at the moment. I'll get it figured out though.
"That would be a lot of fun for 20 minutes" I bet he looked at you cast netting and thought the same thing. 😂

Found this channel randomly a month or so ago and now I’m hooked!!😅

Armored catfish. Invasive.
It's a Pterygoplichthys anisitsi. There are thousands and thousands of them in the bayous.
Good work on the Graffity. Yep. good old apple snail. I would imagine they are edible in a survival situation but I would be wary and cook thoroughly.
The Pleco (suckermouth) is a cool looking fish!
Man watching ur videos really makes me wish Wisconsin allowed the use of cast nets🥲
Victoria here, really enjoy your videos!!
Sounds like tilapia are hated over there as much as they are here in Australia
Nasty invasives
everywhere
@@PonyFoot123 yep, them and filthy carp. Kill ‘em all!!
Your new ‘conventional’ net technique is coming along nicely 👍
Nice video. Did you dispatch the pleco? They are ruining the bayous here.
Great video! I love cast netting for big bait :)
What was that black fish you netted ? Great channel, Thanks
It was an armored catfish. Invasive species.
Tilapia are invasive in TX?
Where I'm from they're a delicious lunch!
This is very very much like Kingwood where I hunt fish in the woods, this bridge looks like Kingwood.

I'd love to go fishing sometime dude
You need to show me hoy to fish for gar!
What do you do with the invasive fish? Do you kill them? In Australia by law we have to kill invasive fish like European Carp and Redfern.

Lmao 0:16 you should blur that out
Why not keep the invasives out of the water?
They are to be killed it is the law.

What do you do with the invasive fish you catch?
👍
Why do you release evai's?
Time to rotene the whole waterway.
What was that fish @4:00 ?
Armored catfish from the Amazon aquarium pets people release and are a problem in warm water.Plecostamous algae eater.
invasive species - you cherish the days when they weren’t around - most enjoy video - watch your step
bass are technically invasive lol.......they brought them from europe
This kind of big apple snails is another annoying invasive species.
Looks like you blurred the n word a little too late lol
I saw it in the first few frames, but I didn't want it showing up in a locked down camera shot that went on for a few minutes.
Yeah, might wanna blur that out in the early scenes....
