Demoman costs a pretty penny too. Considering that the Headless Horseman's Headtaker can be strange, which is very rare and very expensive.

@@dartimes6048 Not gamebreaking, but game changing as you can peak and throw a rocket down a chokehold (if it's to your left) much more safely if you know how to peak pixel perfect. Also it's just a nice QoL for those who like consistent rockets.

I bought a pro ks strange kritzkrieg in November in a moment of weakness when my cat was terminally ill. I got it to dedicate to her. Every single point I get on it is for Juliet. She died a few days after I bought it. I miss her, but somehow seeing the number go up on my kritzkrieg makes it hurt a little less.

Most of the playerbase can't even get them because they're horded up, inflated and then sold at ridiculous prices by an incredibly small percentage of player who essentially rule the market.

I'm always slightly surprised how much these things inflate. I bought a strange Kritzkrieg for 18 keys, 23.66 ref back in 2018 and the price only went up. $30-50 was expensive even back then. Now it's $200. The PDA growing at a similar rate means I should have gotten one years ago bc now I probably can never.
For real, back then they were worth a probably like a Severed Max’s back in 2014, but have risen to unreasonable levels that are worth several earbuds. It sucks cause I owned one back when I was obsessed with the game but foolishly sold it for cosmetics that were pretty easily obtainable. I did get a cheap strange Widow maker for like 2 keys though, so in someways it’s all good.
I feel you. I bought a strange kunai back in '18, just right after jungle inferno. It was merely a few cents and now it costs like 4 keys. I stupidly traded it after a few months of playing w it, 2nd biggest mistake right after winter 2017 war paint cases
For real, and I can't figure out why the prices increased so much. Like, I snatched a strange spelled Festive Huntsman for like 14 keys in late 2020, now I can sell it for almost 80 keys 3 years later, and non-spelled ones are around 50. How does that even happen?

I remember doing an event once on a niche TF2 community where we gave out a strange each day for the first 25 days of Christmas to a random member, plus a hat for the class. We ended up gathering enough money to gift out all stock stranges, even the PDA, which I don't think was that expensive back then. It was a very nice moment, honestly.
I still hate myself for selling my Gunslinger and PDA when they were 60 and 40 respectively

I can't believe how much every strange has skyrocketed in price, I got all of them before the boom and I'm very glad I did so, because I was hesitant to spend 60 dollars on the gunslinger when I did, no way in hell would I spend 400 now.
I paid $80 for my strange gunslinger in 2019. At the time, I thought that was really pushing it.

If you’re wondering, the most expensive strange tf2 item is the strange FN top shelf minigun which currently doesn’t exist but would be worth around 30,000$ USD

There is exactly one (1) Strange Enforcer, which has not had its sale price published as far as I know, but it did "buy a Steam Deck OLED" when sold, according to the seller.
I wanted to main sniper, bought a 79,99 professional strange killstreak awp with headshot, medic, heavy kill counter. Played TF2 sniper for a week straight, got burned out, haven’t played the game since. This was like 2 months ago. Still worth every penny on that awp.
Holy shit, i didnt know my engie loadout is worth around 1000€. I unboxed both the unusual hat and strange gunslinger many many years ago.
You can technically bring Sniper down by about $10. The Shooting Star, while a reskin, typically goes for less than the Machina in terms of Stranges. Although if you do that, might as well toss in the Strange AWPer Hand for $60+.
Another note, if a weapon can be war painted, the maximum price is technically the same as the cheapest Strange war paint. This doesn’t affect many weapons, but the Holy Mackerel and Loose Cannon are the highlights to my knowledge.
Overall, this is just proof that we need a new Strange Crate for the Kritzkrieg, Gunslinger, Original, etc.

I think valve should bring back the old rare stranges as random drops or craftables, and make the old versions either vintage or genuine quality. I’d like to use a strange PDA, and I think honestly any engineer would, but the price and rarity is absurd.
