Foxes in my garden - unexpected visitors

I know this is not in line with the theme of my channel, but I just had to share.
I've lived in this house for over 15 years and this was the first time seeing foxes in my garden.
The one which I assume to be male has a bad eye, so I named him Popeye, so it seemed appropriate to call his lady Olive
The bird song in this video is an added sound track. On the original video, the only sound was the whir of my camera lens zooming in and out. I didn't want to leave the video in silence and the bird song seemed more appropriate than a music backing track.
He looks so tame .

I’ve got a cat, but he doesn’t spend much time outside (although I’ve heard different opinions about whether cats would be at risk from foxes or not anyway). Yes, I should definitely paint them!!
Ohhhhh… so cute! Our subdivision is in a big wooded area and our backyard is surrounded by trees. At the edge of the woods behind our house there is a large hollow and we had foxes living in a den there for a few years when we first moved here. After a few years they moved on, however, every spring it was so cute to see the new little pups in the yard playing!! Our cat was an indoor cat so she was safe. The biggest annoyance was having to pick up my son’s toys because the little foxes would drag them away 😂 (my son was a toddler when we first moved here). This brought back memories!!
Oh that’s soooo sweet! Made me laugh about your son’s toys! A friend of mine puts food out for the foxes in her area and she was telling me about various things that had gone missing that the foxes had carried off to play with! She left a pair of muddy shoes outside her back door and one ended up down the bottom of the garden and the other shoe was never seen again! Haha.
@@madebylora haha… we never had shoes go ‘wandering’, however, my husband used to have a practice golf ball net in the yard and missing golf balls is how we discovered we had foxes!! 😂
