Details like the added fuel gauge shows that this bike used to be owned by someone who actually rode it. Now both my Sportster and my 65 Triumph show not only the patina of age but also the miles and the years we have enjoyed together. My bike should not simply old they're like dogs that have always been part of your family. I wish my dogs would last as long as my motorcycles. Never mind me I took my pain pills got run over by a dump truck on my bike not dead yet though.

Everybody who takes a 1967 Harley is old my 1965 Triumph is a couple years older than that. If I had a slab side extra horsepower aside I would go back to being a panhead. It's a shame at that bike is so nice in the original and so valuable somebody's going to buy it just for an investment and not enjoy it for the great riding motorcycle that it is. That bike was $1,800 when it was brand new imagine that. Back in the nice America when you can still afford to make a living and things hadn't turned into a shithole yet. As much as I love a bike being nice and original like that I'd much rather have one been written a half a million miles over 40 years. I should surely hope the new owner of that bike puts it on the road and enjoys it.

There's one of them tank gauges... Was that something Harley or an aftermarket you'd have to drill a hole in the tank

Drum brakes survived the passage of time much better than disc brakes that suck up water get full of crap and seized brake master cylinders that may or may not be still available. I broke up brake cable on the front brake of my Euro it took me all the 30 seconds to put on a new one talk about simple and if your brakes are stuck you just hit it with a rubber ballot and they're good to go

For $20 over the cost of full coverage insurance Geico offers unlimited road service on motorcycles. For $20 a year is well spent. I advise it if you're going to go riding. When you have an old bike and you put it on the road shit happens just from age. Like you could have a brand new battery that's 40 years old but it doesn't mean it's going to be any good. Great customer service I couldn't recommend them any higher I have them covering all of the bikes I have on the road. End of commercial bye
