The first 40 secsonds of this theme sum up all the wrongs, shame and savagnous of slavery and racism in my opinion! The Chorus after that to me is just basically a big "Fuck all you haters, things will be/get better"! Marvelous!

i would prefer this for the world cup, instead of shakira. this has emotionality and optimisim. I even like this music, its beautiful. GO john williams :)
I realize this comment is 7 years old, but actually the US and Britain banned the slave trade the same year, with the US banning it first. Also, the British only banned it throughout the empire 11 years before the US.
I saw this movie at school in history a week ago, slavory is some messed up crap. I really liked the movie even though it was all goreyish? but it also kinda ispired me! not to mention in the most freshest post! most of the post are like a year old

Similar to The Patriot. Wonder if The Patriot can be a sequel to the The Amistad.
Foriam Studios The films are nothing like each other (and I do like the Patriot). But both have gorgeous scores.
The Patriot took place in the 1700's during the American Revolution. Amistad took place in the 1800's, before the Civil War.
