I love the characters you all are leaning into. Just the simple 'wait, you were testing while I was playing?' was a grand way to start my Friday. I laughed so hard at the 'I'll be right there in one... Five minutes... After an hour... Next week...' There's so often I feel like that when I'm asked to do something at work and slowly realize it's lower priority than all my other work...

binds are harder, and forget about grabbing the blade at all. plus fire likes to spread to clothing, more so cotton.
Yeesss!! Fire sword video would be amazing. Honestly, I'm surprised they haven't done it already, as it's a very common fantasy trope.
As cool as it is, one of the problems with 'fire swords' is that by heating up the blade you can ruin the heat treatment. The process that the blacksmiths went through to make sure your edge is hard would be ruined. I would hope they address that issue if they do a video on it.

Yeah fire sword would be really nice to see. It's so common to see in fantasy. Hell in Lord of the rings movies Witch King did it to just flex.

The only issue I have with the shield is it requires your enemy to hit the area you want them to.
And while I wouldn’t know exactly what would happen, I would go, “Wait a minute. Something’s up with that balloon…”
@@NathanCassidy721 lets say it was designed to look like a gem out of some material, it wouldn't be suspicious and you can always bring the shield to the weapon and make it hit

Honestly one of your best videos! You guys really tapped into your personalities (and on-screen personas) and it was just hilariously fun to watch! Definitely going to share this with my family and friends because this is something anyone can enjoy!
A similar idea to this is to look at "makeshift" weapons you see in the various survival games. Like a hammer made from a rock and a stick, arrows made from branches and grass ropes, stuff like that

You should make a reaction video to MTG equipment cards, specifically the Mirran Swords cycle (Sword of Feast and Famine, Sword of Light and Shadow, etc.). And I know that all of those swords have a split blade, which I think is because it has a separate enchantment on either side of the blade, so let's just pretend the two blades are joined in the middle.

please do a full on fire sword video. not only does it look sick but i’d love to see the actual benefits and drawbacks of fighting with one besides intimidation factor. might also be worth looking into a flaming spear since it’s held so much further from the body it might be more feasible

As for the rock on a stick, I immediately think of a gada mace. Nowadays, it's used for strength training, but, reportedly, it had been intended as an actual weapon in the past and, at least the surviving training methods, move pretty fast in a continuous motion similar to flow drills.

You need to test:
1) Electric Swords - similar to how Highlander: The TV series used car battery leads hooked up to the metal parts of the sword to create large sparks when the blades contacted each other
2) Vibro Swords - Get a Ultra-Sonic Knife and test how much better it's cutting capacity is compared to a normal knife
3) Thermal Blades - Hot Sword that has a heating element attached to the length of the blade to heat up the blade and test it's slicing capability
Would the fire sword hurt the steel? I would think it may after long exposure to the flame.
*i would surmise that the blade would be enchanted and somehow protected from the normal type of damage such heat and banging about on other objects would cause...but that's just my theory*
I don't think thick steel like that would be particularly damaged by a light flame, the fuel would probably run out before it would get damaged.
@@Otto_Von_Itter9000 I was thinking more damage to the temper of the edge. It is so thin there it could be heated enough to lose its temper and then the ability to hold that edge. Granted the heat probably would be above the steel itself and never really penetrate the metal. That is why it would be great to test!

Another cool video idea could be using the new star wars survivor game! Comparing all the different light sabre stances, how they would work against each other, comparing them to their real life counter parts and the pros/cons they might have as light sabres vs real swords

The puffshroom shield was interesting. It definitely works as a distraction to let you come in while powder is choking your opponent.
The fire sword definitely sounds like a great one to test, depending on what tests you can figure out how to actually do. Like, can you find a decent test medium to test what effect the fire would have on a cut? You could test how flammable some different kinds of medieval clothing are I guess, see if a light contact would be enough to set them on fire.

Absoulty loved the set ups for this video and the tests...looking forward to seeing the more dedicated fire sword test.
Interestingly the reaction to the burst and the fire sword are very simular it is the unkown factor of just how bad the damage is that would be sustained that makes them more effective.
The balloon releasing something adds a bit of shock value.
But i wonder if you were wearing the right protective clothing would it have caused the the same kind of fear responses.
I think it would still be there but less so.

So the reason a sword (or anything you swing or lift, like silverware) feels good when it's balanced is because its center of mass is right at or near the point of support. This means whenever you're translating it (moving it side to side), it does not have a tendency to rotate. It maintains its orientation, and will only rotate when you deliberately swing/spin it. The two motions (translation and rotation) are orthogonal (they are independent of each other - you can do one without causing the other).
If the center of mass is not aligned with the point of support, any time you translate it, there's a torque which will cause it to rotate. So translating it while maintaining its orientation requires you to simultaneously move it sideways, while also imparting a counter-rotation to prevent it from making an undesired turn. And swinging it causes a force making your body tend to translate.
Grab a broomstick, find its center of mass (point where it will balance on one finger), hold it there, and try dodging side-to-side while keeping it pointed at an imaginary opponent. Then try holding the broomstick by the tip so it's unbalanced, and try dodging side-to-side while keeping it pointed at an opponent.
