Today we’re talking about the world’s first ever internet based murder. It all started when Bruce Miller bought his wife Sharee a computer and she downloaded AOL. That day would lead to a whirlwind romance- and by that I mean fake pregnancies, twisted lies, and a whole lot of complete buffoonery that ultimately ended in a murder. What do you guys think? Was Sharee really just playing an internet game or was something much more sinister going on here?

Jerry was an absolute genius and it’s a shame he had to go through what he did and even more sad that it took his life. He sounds like he would’ve been a wonderful person who really cared about justice. I hope his family are doing alright❤

why do you say there was 2 victims of this crime. every family member, & friend of these 2 men are victims as well. Even according to the law. That's why they are called VICTIM'S statements, that are given at sentencing in court. If you were to lose someone bc of a crime, the loss you feel still makes you a victim of that crime.

Bailey improved so much in storytelling since she started the series. I also noticed she is more confident and comfortable.
She has always been an excellent story teller. The monetizing is the issue. She has always had to be careful how she told the story and still make the $$ and attempt to please the masses and not offend anyone.

So sad, the guy lost everything, then found happiness, thought it was in danger, did what he felt he had to to protect it, just to find out it was a lie. The guilt that poor man must've felt. I hope him and Bruce are both at peace.

Poor guy. He may have done an unforgivable thing and lost his battle but in the end he still did the right thing by fixing everything and finally succeeded! He may have lost his life but he sure did put an end to this woman’s shenanigans! Rip to both Bruce and Jerry.

Have you heard of Shanda Scharer? She was a 12 year old girl who was brutally tortured and killed by a few teen girls. It's a tragic story. I think you'd do it justice telling it.
Jerry did such an amazing thing. I feel sorry for both, Bruce and Jerry. Bruce really didn't deserve all of that...he seemed like a supportive loving husband and stepfather😔

where did you get that they hadn't even seen each other? Bailey had said that she had been going back and forth to Reno alot on fake "Mary Kay conventions" and "meetings". the only thing that was in question was how she could get pegnant so quickly after a miscarriage. Which in fact medically speaking you can ovulate and get pregnant as soon as 2 weeks after having a miscarriage. so it's not that impossible that it could happen. phychologically not reasonable. Howwever, as we know this was Sherre and a lie.
She definitely manipulated him but most men do not know how women’s bodies work. One time my husband asked if I thought I was pregnant 1 day after doing it and I was on my period at the time. LOL

Sharee lived down the road from my best friend growing up. We baby sat her kids even. I remember when this all happened. So crazy.

I was an AOL chat room monitor in the General chat room back in the day. We were there to welcome everybody, answer questions and direct people to what they were looking for. It was freaking bizarre the questions people had. The other monitors and I became pretty close & even got together IRL in OHIO and went to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Meeting them & hanging out was one of the most fun vacations I’ve ever had. I still wonder what happened to all of them. I can’t even remember what my screen name was.

I highly doubt those kids had anything resembling a decent childhood ever, I hope they were able, as adults, to get the therapy needed, and move forward in life successfully
I literally grew up in Odessa, MO! I remember hearing about Jerry's death, it was big news in such a small town. Like so small there isn't even a stop light! I never knew about the rest of this story tho. Thank you for doing a video on this!

You have mentioned that you don't necessarily like doing big cases cause you feel like you can't add to it. But you do always bring something with you to them.
There's always something I didn't know. And even if I kind of did, your thought process tends to push mine in some direction I might not have really gone before.
And side note... I love love love your eyeshadow I'm this one. It just makes your eyes something else.
I watched this video before listening to Mr Ballen’s podcast that covered this case and I realized that the case sounded familiar and realized it was this video! And I want to say I love how my two favorite story time creators tells the story in their own unique way and show a different perspective from the case I never knew! I love them smmm aaaa
