- The Tweetsie Railroad celebrates the 100th birthday of their 12. This ten-wheeler was originally operated on the East Tennessee & West North Carolina Railroad. It was sold to the Tweetsie Railroad in 1955, where it has operated since. #190, a White Pass & Yukon 2-8-2, also joins the celebration. This footage was taken during the 2017 Railroad Heritage Weekend.

Happy birthday #12!
I was visiting my grandmother up here in North Carolina, I wish I was there, but unfortunately I'm heading back to Alabama today, so I've missed the intire thing. DADGUM IT!!!
These shots are beautiful! Perfect weather conditions for that.
Glad you enjoyed

Is #12 the prototype for Bachmann's G scale "Big Hauler" 4-6-0 model?
Yes. No. 12 was the prototype for Bachmann’s g scale ten wheeler
What a minute. I thought #190 was a consolidation, not a mikado!!! 😳
Where did you go to get the shots of the train going over the trestle? Is each location in the park?
They are, but guests are only permitted to go over there during special photo events

For anyone curious, I believe the whistle is a Canadian National Railways 3-Chime. It sounds eerily similar to a recording I have of one.
Baldwin 3 chime on 12. and a Crosby 3 chimes for 190 until 6:25 then it's a Baldwin 3 chime from 12's scrapped sister.
#12 wears a 5" Baldwin 3 chime. 190 usually wears a 6" Crosby, but for this weekend they ran the 5" Crosby from ET&WNC #9.
