    As a Liverpool fan, it's a huge blow for us fans that Klopp is leaving, but its his choice and we have to accept it and thank him for the unbelievable journey. I was worried mmediately after the news what would happen, but recently when Michael Edwards accepted to return as CEO of all football activities and re-structure of the club has began quickly, I'm kinda more relaxed. Michael Edwards is one of the key figures of Klopp's era success and recruited the likes of Robertson, Salah, Van Dijk, Fabinho, Alisson, Konate, etc., and even Klopp himself to Liverpool.
    The club is in very healthy state, with so many young prospect and young players. It would be great if we manage to keep all key players in the club and if we buy CB, CDM and right winger, it would be fantastic.

    @Afterthoughtbtw Před 3 měsíci +5

    So much ignorance being spewed here.
    The Gerrard era was under Hicks and Gillette - hands down the most incompetent owners the Premier League has ever seen, and hopefully will ever see. They single-handedly took the most successful club in Britain to the brink of administration. That time under H & G is completely irrelevant to the club now. After that, FSG came in, and that is how you know exactly what a Klopp-less Liverpool will look like behind the scenes. FSG's first piece of business was to get the club financially secure. Then they brought in a transfer strategy which was to get players just before they got to the standard that Liverpool needed to get to the next level by use of predictive analytics. It's a very clear structure and resilient structure that will be in place for the next manager, just as it was for Klopp. When you add to that all the talent that is clearly there to anyone with eyes - they have by far the strongest squad in the league - they've spent the last 4 or 5 months with at least half their team missing, and half their backups missing too, and they have just kept winning. They won a cup final with multiple youngsters who had never played senior football before this year.
    When Ferguson left it was after a season where he sacrificed everything, including the good of the club, in order to scrape out a final trophy for himself. When Wenger went, results had not been good enough for years, and what he left behind was frankly not good enough. These weren't people handing over a club when it was in a rude state of health - they were handing over basket cases which still had expectations from fans and owners which were well above their stations.
    If you want to find reasonable comparisons, go look for clubs who had a handover from one man to another when everything was working the way it is so supposed to. Man United and Arsenal will tell us absolutely nothing about what awaits Liverpool post Klopp.

    What’s going to happen to Liverpool after Jurgen Klopp leaves whether they continue competing for trophies or go downhill it depends on who their next manager is and what players are staying or leaving the club.
    Jurgen Klopp has had a transformative impact at Liverpool and while it’s easy to bring up the fact that he’s won just 1 league title in 8 years, you can’t deny the greatness he’s achieved there. In 2015, they were realistically a mid table team and if anyone told you that 5 years later, they’d win the premier league and the champions league, you wouldn’t believe anyone and that’s what he delivered them. That’s an incredible achievement them winning the champions league in 2019, and they won the premier league in 2020 which was their first league title in decades and more importantly, without them Manchester City would have 6 premier league titles in 6 years and they have a chance to stop them from winning 4 consecutive league titles this season as well. Despite their budget, Liverpool were a thorn in Man City’s side a team that has unlimited financial power who’ve breached literally 115 charges. At one point they almost won a quadruple and before Manchester United knocked them out of the FA Cup, they were in contention in all 4 completions. The state of the club he’s had a massive impact on it and has implemented his system to great effect some of the attacking football they play is unbelievable and installed this mentality monsters attitude within this team in a sense that they can win games without playing well and being behind doesn’t affect them as they find a way to get the result. In his rebuild he changed the team while also maintaining the same mentality and energy. Some of the players under him have reached an incredible level as well. When he was at Borussia Dortmund, they were very successful with him as their manager, but the season after he left they had some issues and since 2015 they’ve had multiple managerial changes post Klopp. I hope Liverpool don’t go in that same trajectory after he leaves in the summer.

    I think Klopp is an amazing manager and thank God someone was attempting to stop Pep's City, but these guys are overhyping his career at Liverpool. Comparing him to Wenger and SAF is just disrespectful to two legendary managers (SAF, mainly).

    • @ikennaalex2843
      @ikennaalex2843 Před 3 měsíci +1

      Why shouldn't he be compared to those great managers. Klopp spent 9 years with Liverpool during which time he contested 6 of thoseseasons he contested in champs league. In those years, he got to 3 UCL finals and won one. Ferguson and Wenger did over 20 years. While SAF got to 4 UCL and won 2, Wenger got to only 1 and lost it. In Europa league, Wenger got to one final and lost it, same as with Klopp.
      These two great managers( SAF and Wenger) won the league with fewer points tally than what Klopp won and lost the league titles with. Klopp is contesting against a war chest in Man City( a Country sponsored football club with possibly the greatest ever manager in Guardiola). We all know what Pep did to both Wenger and Ferguson( If not for the same Pep, Ferguson would easily have won a further 2 UCLs). Now imagine if Pep had come earlier to the EPL, both Wenger and SAF would have retired earlier and won less.
      In summary, both SAF and Wenger and great. It is an unfair statement and and insult to say Klopp should not be compared to them.

      SAF's body of work spans many years. Klopp has done alot lesser years with smaller budgets against established clubs. He did it with Mainz and BVB. Jurgen Klopp is no doubt one of Liverpool’s greatest managers ever however these before and after with some trophy hauls are incredibly misleading. From 1990-2010, Liverpool under poor ownership fell tremendously behind their rivals such as United and Arsenal and then fell further behind when Abramovich brought in Oligarch money to Chelsea and later Abu Dhabi taking over City. When the current Liverpool owners FSG took over, the club was nearly in administration. Riddled with debt, average players on big contracts, some long time sponsors like Adidas jumping ship. FSG’s goal was to implement a self sustaining model for the club and to gradually over time, reduce the debt, move on those players on big wages, refresh the recruitment policy through statistical analysis and risk-averse contracts to players who were younger with tons of growth potential. It took the better part of 5-7 years after their ownership began to implement these things. 2 of those 7 even were Klopp’s first couple seasons. It wasn’t until around 2017-18 season (Klopp’s 2nd full season) where the commercial revenues began to rise to similar levels as rivals. Now 14 years into FSG’s ownership, Liverpool are the 4th most valuable football club on the planet. Our commercial revenues are higher than the likes of United and Arsenal after trailing behind them for nearly 30 years. The current squad is a great mixture of experience, players in their primes or ready to hit their primes and really young exciting talent coming out of the academy. State of the art training facility and now a redeveloped 60k seater Anfield. With the appointment of Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes, the club is now in a position to sustain success rather than have to go through a period of having to right the wrongs of the previous 20 years.

The current squad are going to lose their world-class players in the next 2 to 3 years if not sooner. The youngsters are not good enough. The whole Liverpool success story which is not a success story is built on a sham. Yearend Flopp has failed more than he has achieved. He was given a huge headstart when arriving at Liverpool because he had 18+ players to offload thus handing him a significant headstart in the net spend war that Liverpool instigated. He lost two out of three finals in the UCL and has ended second so many times. He has spent loads of money and has a huge squad. His squad's salary spend is also high. He has been a disgrace with his behavior on the touchline, His antisemitic quotes and his behavior towards journalists is a disgrace. Now he is leaving as a serial loser. Good riddance to him

The only man I think would work would be Pep Lijnders who the players are supposed to want too. Very little would need to change, he has been hugely influential with the academy, and Klopp himself admits it's often Pep who makes the right call on tactics during games. Actually I now think Alonso is in a difficult position because he's done so well this season. If he stays at Leverkusen he probably won't be able to repeat it or do great things in the CL because he'll likely lose a few top players this summer. Then his stock will fall.
      If he goes to Liverpool there's a very low chance of him living up to Klopp's standard, especially as top players might leave this summer too.
      However, if he goes to Munich, the chances of doing well with them are very high. He'll do better than Tuchel for sure and will surely win the league with them next season.

    European football leagues must disclose salaries
    I don't understand why many football fans are against revealing players' contract salaries. I think player salaries are either too low or overrated. I think Haaland's annual salary is over $50 million. Honestly, there is no way the EPL salary would be that low. Does anyone know anything about Mbappe's contract? Why didn't you make it public in the first place? I don't know if it's after tax or before tax. The media always says different things. The same goes for the salaries of Griezmann and Suarez during their time in Barcelona. To begin with, La Liga is not sure whether some players' salaries are before or after tax. Always changing. First of all, the salaries of Messi and Ronaldo from 2011 to 2018 are estimated to be after-tax salaries.) And this is not accurate regarding Messi's contract. Laporta said Messi's salary must be paid until 2025. How much did he get paid? And many believe Mane's wages at Liverpool were £100,000 a week. First of all, Mane's agent said his salary is higher than reported in the media.American leagues disclose salaries. Messi's annual salary for 2023, as revealed by the MLS Players' Association, is $20 million. The base annual salary is $12 million. The media reports that it is over $50 million, but in reality it is much less than this. Conversely, if you look at the wage bill, EPL clubs spend more money than the media reports, with Manchester City spending more than 300 million pounds, and Liverpool and Chelsea spending more than 250 million pounds. (Please disclose player salaries, contracts, and salaries.
    And why are some people asking (there will be comments asking why I don't disclose my salary, but I'm an ordinary person. Are ordinary people and sports players the same? And there is FFP in European soccer) La Liga also has a salary cap. If I were a soccer player.I would agree to disclosure of my salary. i am asian. Why do people who are opposed to revealing player salaries say that some players have high or low salaries? Football's wage is It's an estimate and unofficial. . , commentators, coaches, and even other players in the league don't know a player's contract and salary...As a side note, Saudi money is exaggerated. A Saudi reporter said that Benzema's annual salary is $50 million. Jordan Henderson's weekly salary was also not what was reported in the media
    And
    Manchester City's charges are exaggerated. Not guilty without evidence
    Most of the 115 charges involved not cooperating and not providing data. To be honest, I think there are about 10 important things, and the FFP violation is not guilty, right? Most of the evidence is fabricated. The CAS award emphasized that most of the alleged breaches reported by the Adjudicatory Chamber of the CFCB were either not established or time-barred. As the charges with respect to any dishonest concealment of equity funding were clearly more significant violations than obstructing the CFCB's investigations, it was not appropriate to impose a ban on participating in UEFA's club competitions for MCFC's failure to cooperate with the CFCB's investigations alone. However, considering i) the financial resources of MCFC; ii) the importance of the cooperation of clubs in investigations conducted by the CFCB, because of its limited investigative means; and iii) MCFC's disregard of such principle and its obstruction of the investigations, the CAS Panel found that a significant fine should be imposed on MCFC and considered it appropriate to reduce UEFA's initial fine by 2/3, i.e. to the amount of EUR 10 million
    . City's 115 charges
    54 charges on: Failure to provide accurate and up-to-date financial information from 2009/10 to and including 2017/18
    . 14 charges on: Failure to provide accurate financial reports for player and manager compensation from 2009/10 to and including 2017/18.
    5 charges on: Failure to comply with UEFA’s regulations, including UEFA’s Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play Regulations
    . 7 charges on: Breaches of Premier League profitability and sustainability regulations from 2015/16 to and including 2017/18
    . 35: charges on: Failure to cooperate with Premier League investigations from December 2018 - present.
