- How I Made The Best GTA Game Even Better (with mods). I experimented with graphics mods, car mods, weapon mods, scripts, and fixes. By the end, I had decided on 9 awesome GTA 4 mods that I loved. 4k and subtitles are available!

Honestly, I love the GTA IV weapon system far better than GTA V. It just seems a lot more realistic...from the way the character holds the firearm to the way it is fired, and even when the bullet strikes the target, etc. I usually would install various mods to improve the GTA V weapon system.
I agree! I don't like how in GTAV you can carry every weapon in the game, e.g. every SMG instead of just one.
@Robert Barbosa Man I can think of more things I dislike about the GTA V weapons, including how they look. It's nice to have variety but there's so many weapons that feel same-y, I'd prefer fewer. Correct me if I'm wrong but an entire class of 5+ weapons can co-exist with slight performance tweaks. Drive-bys are uglier. And guns don't feel as good to shoot. A lot of sound effects are probably better though and the weapon wheel is definitely useful.

@@romansionis2470 Eh, RDR2 was all graphics with little in the way of technical substance. There was nothing new that they added under the hood to make it different, just more animations and better graphics fidelity. GTA IV had a lot of new tech under the hood, which is what makes it stand out. RDR2 is kind of a copy-over of that.
Some of these are bloody amazing, especially the Better Gang Mod. Is it a faff to install though? I remember installing vehicle, graphic and sound mods a while back, and it absolutely fucked my GTA IV. Couldn't even uninstall and reinstall it without it crashing =/
Hey Johny, thank you for really the nice comments. I can help you out mate! It's not the easiest thing installing GTA IV mods but I'll try to write you a guide. First there's some setup.
You're gonna want to have the GTA IV Complete Edition from Steam ideally. And then you downgrade your game to patch 1070, this is what I use: gofile.io/d/miWxj4 (you can find other downgraders online too). It's a simple drag and drop of the contents inside "1070" into your game directory.
Afterwards I'd make a text file called "commandline" inside my game directory to fix a VRAM bug and paste the following into it:
-windowed
-nomemrestrict
-norestrictions
-width 1920
-height 1080
Your game is then setup for mods, once you've done this once you may never have to do it again (as long as you make a backup). But if your game can't run here's an in-depth video guide my friend made: czcams.com/play/PLRo0KC9nA43T4VatECzJ8kUbYCFT57FPc.html
Installing individual mods shouldn't be so bad, the readme files should guide you. But here's a tutorial for these in the video: czcams.com/video/dFvvsD7bVu8/video.html
And heads up that for some stuff you will need a modding tool called OpenIV. Another heads up, Simple Traffic Loader can make your game world disappear about 30 minutes after playing depending on your VRAM and/or simple traffic loader settings.

I played it on PS3 in 2013, and I loved it. But now, after seeing so many nostalgic pillocks praising this game by bullshit facts, I started to hate it.

As for the content, the tone of the game was more important. What good would it ve to have Niko in boxers and a giant dildo during the story. Aside the gym or lowriders I don't see what was IV missing that actually mattered. Combat system and physics made for everything SA had
To say it was a downgrade is to ignore the massive technical improvement over SA
@@OutlawedPoet they are roughly the same size, with SA being roughly 1.1/1.2 times bigger, but many of that space is empty or just countryside, whereas IV's map is all that but a city with detail and interiors. hardly comparable. hell, even v's city is smaller than iv's, so no, iv's map is way bigger than people remember
as for the mission design, stop kidding yourself. all gta games have always been "go here and kill person" from the very beggining. the reason for that is that the game's primary and secondary ways of interacting are through combat and vehicles. what made it special was the freedom of approach and how the map was used to fulfill that purpose, which iv did very well and without abusing scripted events
yes, iv missed some customization and minigames in the story, but its customization was all good and it didn't lack minigames. nothing that was missing from san andreas feels like it's missing

I love how much effort you put into the editing, especially the audio, very clean. Definitely gonna check some of these mods, that graphics mod doesn't look overdone, for once.

This was actually my first GTA game growing up and seeing this, just makes me want to play it again. Despite just having it on Xbox but the detail is still good here.

SA was very detailed in it's world. The eating, npcs, different interactions etc. This game was very detailed in it's gameplay. Shooting s gun out of someone's hands, visible breath, etc.

1. About the mods. Can you make a detailed Video how to install them, what PC and hardware you need. All detailed for the average person. There will be a lot of pain involved with crashing etc. for average person its frustrating to even do it.
2. Is there a possibility to make a mod that have a full year? In spring with the cherry blossoms and in winter the snow that I saw before. And it changes continuesly through out the story. So,you achieve like multiple changes of years with different summer, winters etc.
3. Is it possible to make GTA IV Remastered on your own? Make the package and download it with all the mods?.

@@User-swj- There are multiple videos available that show how to do it. I still didn't, but I bought gtaIV on steam though, haha. I mean I played it on PS3 on the earlier days, fuk man more than 12 years.
So what I got is:
- That you can get any controller even PS4 controller and connect it through steam.
- Watch multiple videos how to install the mods
- And than just try and fail until you comfortable playing.
Rob made just compilation what is possible and I love it. And this community of GTA4 lovers.
Unfortunately we not privileged to just buy a remastered version yet and put it in the console, but R* would fk it up anyways these days.
GTA4 and Red Dead Redemption was for me by far one of the best R* Games.
Nowdays it's sharkcards here and there, GTA Online + bs like this. And even when they Remaster something its total shit. They don't care anymore.
Leslie Benzies left, Dan Houser left. These 2 were the most important people behind these games. Wish they would start something together, but allegedly they not on good terms.

Friggin love IV. It was the first time I experienced mind blowing physics in a game when accidentally drifting straight into an outdoor cafe and watching the chairs cups and all go everywhere.

I grew up in NY and when I was young and playing rhis game I was totally floored by how well they recreated NYC.. like I was finding specific spots in the diff Boros that I know exist in real life it was just awesome to explore a fictional NYC in a video game back in 2008

I still think the whole "san andreas" setting was the best in the series. I don't know, maybe it's because both games that used that setting were fantastic (GTA San Andreas and GTA 5). I particularly loved how diverse GTA san andreas was with there being 3 cities, the countryside, and the desert

The "Peppering" you described by messing with the gun's "Spread" of fire and recoil and all that is fucking awesome dude. I know exactly what you mean because I used to mod GTA IV and I had a similar mod installed or maybe the same idk, and I remember thinking "WOWWWWWWWWWW THE GUN GAMEPLAY IS SO FUCKING COOL NOW! IT FEELS LIKE I'M OP AS SHIT WHEN I GO ALL RELENTLESS WITH MY M4 OR AK47" not to mention there was also this really awesome Gun sound mod I had where the guns would in effect "echo" off into the distance after every shot and it was so, so, soooo realistically pulled-off. It was just insane bro. I think it was supposed to be the gun sounds from BATTLEFIELD 3 but I can't remember for sure, or if that was even the name of the gun sound pack.
Rockstar needs to hire the people who make these mods, they'll do a far better job than the people they have already.

Impossible rock star employees are 10x more talented than these kids.😂 they make game that supports in average hardware that's the limitation but modders don't have that limitation.. If rock star makes games only for high end pc games's they can photorealistic games.
Just go and check gta-5 beta pics.. It was too realistic but the consoles of that time were weak..so they downgraded it rock star is always way ahead of their time.
Ok someone finally knows that this is best GTA.It's story,characters,gameplay,dark atmosphere,we will miss you GTA IV.Please remaster this game someone.
