Part 1: • Frank Cullotta on Meet...
--------
In this clip, Frank Cullotta detailed the events surrounding the "M&M Murders in Chicago," where his two burglary partners, Jimmy Miraglia and Billy McCarthy, were tortured and murdered. Cullotta explained the events leading up to the incident, which started with Jimmy and Billy killing a waitress and two brothers connected to The Outfit, Chicago's only mob family. The incident angered The Outfit, and Tony Spilotro, who was portrayed by Joe Pesci in "Casino," came to his childhood friend Frank and asked if he was in on the situation. After clearing his name, Frank helped Tony get Billy, who was tortured and killed before they picked up Jimmy. To hear the full story, including how an incident with Jimmy's capture inspired a scene in "Goodfellas," hit the above clip. - Zábava

Hey Scru. I love your music.
Old Frank was a sick man.....
He mentioned Tony Accardo (aka "Joe Batters" aka "Big Tuna"). Accardo was boss of Chicago Outfit, who died of natural causes and only spent 1 day in jail his entire life..which is extremly rare for Mobsters, unless they flip which Accardo never did. Feds just couldn't catch him
He was blessed and highly favored.
So they invented RICO
@TheRealist 811 I immediately would think same thing, but I believe he wasn't..only bc it was possible to get away w/ crimes back then. (He was in mafia since 1930s and basically retired by 1970s).
Tony’s great grandkids = Joey & Nick Bosa.
Accardo wasn't an informant. I've met his kid rite off of manheim road where he's talking about. In franklin park illinois which is just outside of chicago by ohare airport. That area was a big mob area. All up and down grand ave. Alot of porn stores and bars, motels by the hour, prostitution all shit the mob extorts. Franklin park. Elmwood park, river forest, shiller park. Melrose park, stone park. All big mob areas back in the days. My mother was in a realationship with a member of the outfit who Im not gonna say the name but acardo was no informant
I feel like people in the mob tell storys like if it was yesterday i swear these dudes remember every single day of their life
There are two reasons I really like this guy. He's great at telling stories and Vlad doesn't speak all over him

This a perfect example of a story about how quick your life could change. He dodged a bullet by not going, but still could have been killed just by association.

Yeaaaaahhh ok . lol
The term "M&M" murders for the 1962 mob murders was probably stolen too from the prior year (or earlier) when it was first coined. In 1961 Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris, NY Yankee teammates were BOTH battling to break Babe Ruth's home run record of 61 at the time. At one time both were on pace to break the record; if Mantle hit an HR so did Maris and vice-versa. The press always referred to them as the "M&M boys," I clearly remember that, all through that 1961 baseball season it went on and on. So when these murders took place in 1962 I'm pretty sure they used the term as newspaper selling bait ("hear ye, hear ye M&M murders)." M&M from baseball was still fresh in the nation's mind, but with a new twist of course! I'm just guessing though.
Some were calling the death of actress Marilyn Monroe a murder, not a suicide. She died near the time these two mobsters were killed in 1962. Ms. MM was once married to Arthur Miller and Joe Di-Maggio (okay, okay I'm stretching Joe's "M" here to make a point). Anyway "M&M" anything I believe (came from baseball), BUT the Chicago mob had a lot more hits than Mantle and Maris!
“But she knows I called”
“it’s alright when the husbands are killed the wives don’t say nuttin, they just roll up into a shell”
Jesus Christ Tony was cold as fuck.
Lmao, “what r ya doin?”, “the same fuckin thing you’re doin”

They got a lot done in a half hour with the first guy. I'm familiar with the towns Frank mentioned in his story, and they aren't exactly close together, even by car.
