"White" is a social construct. Therefore, it was used to put a certain group at the top of the social ladder.
Caucasians that immigrated over, were not allowed to be a part of that construct because of their culture being different (and even other reasons that KKK and other groups said didnt make them white, especially the Italians), until they were recruited to help sew up political and social power for the caucasians already here by boosting their numbers.
Therefore they were given their _white card_ . Anyone pretending this doesnt make sense is purposely being argumentative because they have a personal stake in this truth not being told.
