Deluge drenches UPS graduation

The 2014 University of Puget Sound graduation started out innocently enough, but then the wind picked up, followed by a few raindrops, and before long a near-monsoon was in effect. Watch this collision of pomp and very wet circumstance.

It was a graduation ceremony that I'll always remember. My niece and the other graduates looked stunning in their black mortarboards and gowns, colorful cords and satin sashes. The music was excellent. The speeches were sounding fine until the sky clouded up, the wind wreaked havoc and it started pouring. The celebratory mood was hardly be dampened as they ran for cover in the fieldhouse. It was quite a sight when they later came out attired in rain ponchos over their drenched clothes to recommence the commencement ceremony. "Forever Young."

my niece Elisabeth graduated and it was spectacular to watch!! so much fun!! Loved the Logger (sloggers as they affectionately became known in the stands) fun loving spirit! Congratulations graduates!! Looking forward to hearing Haley's speech!!

I was there for my nephew's graduation. The rain/hail was funny at first but got pretty serious as it went on and on. The graduation was postponed for about 2 hours but the grads keep up a great attitude. Congrats guys!!!
