Seed Freedom was the culmination of both Seed and Seed Destiny. I have yet to watch it but based on jp twitter reactions, its basically that meme where the cat watches its owner continuously pour kibble into its bowl until it overflows. Ina and Irys' reactions are definitely genuine.

Cagalli *was* going to get married (coz reasons) to that one guy in Destiny, but you know, they weren't married yet. And we all know that it's Athrun for Cagalli anyway.
Meer is just some political powerplay. Lunamaria has one-sided feelings for Shin that is later turned complicated. Shin and Stellar were together until "that". Meyrin has one-sided feelings for Athrun.
Murrue and Mu ended up together.
Tolle died, so anything with Mirallia isn't NTR.

Gundam SEED is my personal guilty pleasure.. I love every single bit of it because of how unusual it is. A perfect main character with ultimate plot armor, and a perfect heroine who always right and correct in everything.
In every Gundam Universe, usually you'll have edgy male lead and cringy-weak heroine. Gundam SEED has none of that.

Chiaki Morosawa is the screenwriter/Author and creator of the series
In the behind the scenes, she wrote, storyboarded and was present and during the whole productions basically a director. We are in 1990s(production started 1998, released 2002) in Japan so misogyny was much more prevalent so making her husband the ‘director’ is how she was able to avoid workplace politics.
Unfortunately she developed cancer near end of gundam seed and because the series was so popular a season 2(gundam seed destiny) was greenlit.
but because Chiaki Morosawa was fighting the battle against cancer she was sick for most of the production, which is why infamously second half of gundam seed destiny had the same plot and same reused animations as the second half of the first season because Chiaki Morosawa was at the hospital it was the only way for her husband to meet the dead lines of a weekly series.
She passed away on 19th February 2016.

I don't like this growing trend of complicated relationships shifts being labeled as NTR.
I think it got mentioned as such because Flay was originally Sai's girlfriend, then she suddenly became Kira's girl. Yes the intent was more on Flay than on Kira but from an outside observer it definitely looks like NTR. Though indeed it's not actually "NTR" because that is a very specific action using sex as a means to steal a girl's affections, whereby in this case the act comes afterwards and it was the girl that started it. Basically it's more "cheating ho" than "NTR".

I watched Seed for the first time when I was a teenager. Just about everyone hated Shinn, but my favorite part of the series was unironically just Shinn raging and destroying everything. I laughed my ass off when he was willing to just impale Lunamaria to try to kill Kira (or was it Athrun, I can't really remember).
The Gundam Seed movie was not great. It was a fucking trainwreck.
The money it pumped and reviews it got says otherwised.

Gundam seed is absolute garbage though. I wouldn't recommend anyone waste their time with it. The writers had to have been brain dead. No I have not watched most of it because it's that bad from the beginning.

I watched both SEED and Destiny. I was suckered in by Andrew Waltfeld.
But I could see how bad the story was

ZAFT are treated like the villain for most of the series when most of details and portrayal of them is more showing they are reacting to horrible atrocities. How anyone could side with the Atlantic Federation is the greatest question I have, especially how they try to soften the AF by saying its really Blue Cosmos but you can't pull that after I've seen how awful the AF is; especially after Alaska.
The show especially has done more for me to cheer for the antagonists (Rau for SEED and Durandal for Destiny) over the "heroes". So much so that I have now an innate hatred for any Gundam character that spouts the same or similar dribble that came out of Kira. This really screwed me over when watching other Gundam series like Char's Counterattack and Unicorn (I will admit with both of those being my first UCs, I had no context; but after watching UC shows like Zeta, I have a better understanding to note how awful my hatred of Kira screwed with me). Not to mention Kira and Lacus' hypocrisy that was overly abundant throughout Destiny.
I would have enjoyed Destiny if Lacus and Kira stayed out of the story. But if they had to be there; I'm just going to say there would have been 1 million ways to improve Destiny IF we had to keep most of the details from the end product.
I'm even wondering if I could even call my relationship with the Cosmic Era as a Love-Hate feeling, as I lean more on the Hate part than love.
I really wish I didn't have SEED as my first Gundam. Thankfully 00 cleansed my palette and later works like Origin really got me to truly give the series, especially their alternate universes their proper due.
Haven't seen Witch, cause honestly I'd rather watch the other Gundam series (Double Zeta, X, etc.) before I jump into what I'm thinking may make SEED and Destiny less awful by comparison.

UC: Origin, Stardust Memories, Zeta, Unicorn, Narrative (will be rewatching Char's Counterattack)
Gundam Wing
CE: Gundam SEED, Destiny, Stargazer (this is the only good thing, but that's not saying much for CE)

@@strategicperson95 SEED Destiny is one of the only series in all of Gundam that people will generally list as being outright "bad", along with AGE, and to a lesser extent, Victory and "Reconquista in G". So you've experienced the worst there is on offer already.
