Like her mom said: she wants, wants. I had a friend like that. She married the guy for his retirement fund of $500,00 which she managed to spend during the first five years of their marriage. He could not say no to her. If she did her response was: you are to keep me in the life style that I want. He passed away from cancer. She had to foreclose on the house and buy a cheaper home. She still spends money like it grows on trees. She has very few friends now. I see the first bride’s future like this. If her fiancée can’t tell her no now, the marriage will be hell. She may pop out a few kids to make him feel trapped (like my friend did).

But these brides blow so much money on a one time dress. You must be kidding me! My classmate bought one for only $99 and loved it. It is the marriage that is important not the dress and wedding.

Melissa, the second bride, proves that you can buy within your budget and still look sophisticated, timeless and like money was not a consideration at all. She looked absolutely gorgeous in that gown. If your guests are wondering about how much the gown cost, then you picked the wrong gown--they should be wondering "wow, how did I miss how terrifically beautiful she is???"

I think most of us feel that way. I actually asked my sister in law why she did not buy her wedding dress. She said that she was never going to wear it again and has no closet space to store it. That is why she just rented hers and returned it after the wedding.

There are so many beautiful used couture dresses. I think we should bring back people wearing a dress that is passed from bride to bride. My dress is an amazing Mira Zwillinger that has been worn before by multiple brides and I bought for a fraction of the price. The girl I purchased it from loved the dress and was so happy for it to have a new home and be part of another wedding!❤
