finally. thank you. i've lusted for this exact combo for a while, and a better dive into what it's capable of is exactly what i've looked for (currently OG orqas with both WS and HDZ modules, along with dji v2). I'm concerned because one of my hopeful uses would be for a super-micro-tiny walksnail based 1s "cine" whoop.
This video answered some of the questions around how does the vrx + hdzero goggles combo actually feel to fly. I fly micros, up to 3 inch, mostly 1s. I fly in tight spaces, either inside my house with whoops or around the outside of my house (which is almost as tight as inside) with 3inch/2.5/2 mostly 1s. So far I havent actually purchased a hdzero vtx to pair with my hdz goggles, I just fly analog (and I'm mostly ok with that), still some additional clarity might be nice outside with branches etc, and that clarity is really nice when you're in a more public place. So my question is, do I just go with a hdzero eco? or do I go with the walksnail lite, combined with the walksnail vrx. Which is going to be more enjoyable? I mostly set a course and rip it hard, not a lot of freestyle. I'm assuming latency is going to be impactful with the walksnail setup...
that's a tough one. I have the eco whoop and it really doesn't look that much better than analog, but it's super responsive on the micro quad I have and feels much better to fly in the scenario you're describing than my WS 1S kit does so I'd personally go that route OR I'd highly recommend the new Nano v3 camera and whoop lite if it were me
Haha I literally just installed the VRX on my HDZ Goggles yesterday... Just sold my DJI V2 goggles along with my vistas and cameras. Went with the VRX combo from RDQ so bought the VRX and V2 32g Pro for $308 (still put $$$ in the bank afterwards). I mainly fly HDZ but wanted a little better penetration for freestyle on my 5" and wanted to only carry one Goggle with me Not two. I have only flown 4 packs on it but I am liking my 1st impressions. Weather has been nasty all day today so haven't flown since yesterday. Can't wait to get some more packs in with it.
@@Mayday.Aerial I am running the newest firmware. I was actually to able to fly 3 packs again this afternoon but not in 1080p mode. I actually noticed lacking range and penetration on the system. What channel and antenna along with other settings do you run? Thanks
@@P.G._FPV There are so many factors in this, but on my quads I use Rush Cherry antenna, I did the sma swap to be able to run my foxeer lollipop on the VRX. I also run 720p high frame rate + standard bitrate. what environment are you flying?
@@Mayday.Aerial open field and around 2 barns. The thing is I can fly behind the barn with my v2 freestyle but actually blacked out on walksnail last night in the same area. Running stock patches and luminear omni's on top. Caddx (gray antenna) on kwad as I have always had great experience with that antenna on my vistas
Great video 🤘🏻 really surprised at 30+ ms in WS Racemode, I get 21-22 locked even in a big bando 🧐 maybe the new version of the firmware which I haven’t upgraded yet, I think 2024 I may try but of hdzero does look ace

Thanks my man. As far as Walksnail goes, I was able to snag a VRX and VTX setup pretty cheap, it hit what I wanted out of it, and I managed to grab a secondhand set of goggles and several VTXs from someone getting out of the hobby so I've just been rolling with it. This current setup is a result of my constantly jacking with stuff and not being able to leave things well enough alone, lol
yes flying with your 90fps then switching to ws will cause to feel the latency that's exactly what you're feeling. latency isnt what people think it is most of the time

Right on! Are you running the latest firmware? I'm itching to know if it resolves the 1080p60 issue

That's what I had when using the Avatar v1 goggles too. I used to only use race mode when I had those goggles. Here's to hoping it gets better here :D

Your title is confusing considering "goggles X" is literally the name of the new walksnail goggles.

I’m aware. I do latency tests for pc hardware for work.
However, it’s more noticeable with this setup than with the WS v1 Goggles.
