FSX - Garuda Indonesia Boeing 747-400 at Melbourne

- Just a short video for the time being! I've always been fond of the Garuda Indonesia colour scheme, particularly on their Boeing 747-400 aircraft, and the latest incarnation of the scheme is, in my mind, one of the most beautiful liveries I've seen for the 747. It's a shame Garuda doesn't fly to the UK, but that's the wonder of Flightsim!
This video features a Garuda Indonesia Boeing 747-400, landing in early morning at Melbourne Intl. Airport (YMML), and then we cut to later in the day to see it departing on its return leg to Jakarta. This an unusual sight at Melbourne, as the route is normally operated by an Airbus A330.
Aircraft, as credited in the video, is the wonderful PMDG 747-400, and of course the scenery is Melbourne v2 from FTX. As many of you will know, this scenery is absolutely incredible, and this video doesn't really do it justice (the focus here was the aircraft!) - more of this scenery will feature in future videos, so please stay tuned! :)

My nephew worked for Garuda flying just ATRs. Despite being an A1 aviator he was limited to just that as he was contracted. Now, God willing, he will eventually progress onto much, much bigger than Garuda, elsewhere.........Just wait and see......

Thanks for kind comments! Lucky you are to have YMML as your home airport :) Mine is London Gatwick, which is interesting in its own way :) I did get some problems with pixellating textures at times yes - it was sort of intermittent but wasn't too much of a problem.

The 747's are used for Hajj flights, but when the pilgrimage is past or long before it starts again, they operate at random flight routes.
Nice video though. In 2014, CGK-AMS aircraft were upgraded to a B777-300ER. A few months month later, they fly to London as a stop in Amsterdam, using a B777-300ER. So this route will be CGK-AMS-LGW. In this year, they will move to Heathrow. Because they chose Gatwick as it's far from the downtown.

Ummm, I know people always say "I thought this was real" to make the author feel good..... but I literally thought this was real first... Great work!
The GA colours flew to London before 1997..GA is just returning to destinations they once flew to which were many more than today.
There are only 2 of those 744's in Garuda's fleet, but they will be discontinued once Garuda's latest orders which are new 773 ER's and more 332's, 738 NG's, Bombardier CRJ1000's, and one 333. The Boeing 777-300 ER will make direct flights between AMS and CGK for the first time in history next year where the aircraft and Garuda will start operating as a SkyTeam member.
I once flown on one of their 747's bearing their previous livery, flight was CGK - DPS.

It did exist until 2017 - Garuda have now replaced all of their 747s with 777-300s. This video was made in 2012, when they still had them.

dari semua maskapai lokal.. Garuda emang paling nyaman pelayanan nya menurut gw.. pramugari nya dewasa dan helpful.. harga memang lebih mahal..

Yes, I'm hoping they will go for the A380 as well; they don't have any on order at present but they haven't ordered the 748 either, so either they're taking their time making a decision, or they're pulling away from the high density long haul routes - be interesting to find out!
they're ordering 10 777-300er which has an amazing first class and route to los angeles, rome, paris, london, washington, frankfurt, hawaii, etc

biar gak pada ribut saya jelaskan FSx adalah sebuah permainan simulator pesawat terbang yang dibuat menyerupai keadaan asli alias dengan grafis yang sangat bagus.
ajex zetia versi sebelumnya jg ada, kyk FS2002, FS2004. FSX jg revisi dr kedua tsb.
