Welcome to another video, even though it's a brief one. Today's video takes a look at glorious evening take off by an Emirates A380 which prior to the pandemic was a common visitor to Melbourne. It was always a treat to have EK 405 depart from Melbourne to Singapore during a late afternoon and evening. Stunning shots like these were common during Spring and Autumn seasons, these being from October 2018. I've included some additional information about this particular aircraft below for those interested. Enjoy and fingers crossed these are flying back sooner rather than later in some shape or form. Cheers
Tom

I can never stop wondering how these heavy machines lift off from the ground , fly and then land , though I know the science on which they work.Despite having travelled many times on planes, I always watch them with a chill through my spine ! Yet, I watch and watch with an awe every time a plane takes off or land ! For me it is a wonder every time.! Flying machines are one of the greatest inventions of man !
Same.
Same
Science mate.
To propel 577 tonnes up to 180 mph on the ground is the power you need , huge wings for your lift and physics of air pressures but knowing this it still is fantastic.
This is definitely the wonder of our time !
With an A380 ( flown on it myself ) I am still amazed every time that this behemoth lifts off the ground. Absolutely magnificent

How'd you like to pilot one?!? Wouldn't that be the most power "trip" ever! It sure is amazing you said it😮.
What I love about the A380 is how slow and smooth it feels when they lift for take off

What love about the a380 is how slow and smooth it feel
My late husband and I used to spend a lot of Friday or Saturday evenings going to JFK to watch the planes take off. There was rooftop parking at the TWA terminal and that's where we parked. We would take our portable radio, plug it into a light post and listen to ATC for gate departures and then switch to takeoffs. I always wondered how the big planes back then (747s, L1011s and DC-10s) stayed up there and I think the same thing of today's planes, especially Emirates A380 which also flys for 16H NS!!
I'm always in awe seeing the planes and always wish the pilots a safe trip.
Wait…. TWA???!! That’s wayyy back.
@Super Nova Yes it was, back 1974 to 1978. We moved to Long Island so we didn't make the trip as often. There were a lot of people up there planespotting. We lucked out one day, the Concorde was there and we waited patiently for it to depart. That was a beautiful sight to see. I've always been fascinated watching the planes land and take off, even before the '70s. I need to make it to the city to see Emirates land and/or take off. That massive plane has me mesmerized. It used to fly right over my house on the way to JFK. I miss seeing it.
Such a wholesome moment

Photography is also major increadible part of this video, which everyone forget to praise 🙌
everyone?? are you sure about that idiot?? or you just talk in ignorance because you have a big mouth??? 😎
Still amazes me knowing the weight of these planes, yet they take off and land so gracefully.
Yeah dude
And appear to be going so slowly....
Hi Rolly, taking off is the simplest to understand, From Isaac Newton principles as object falls at a speed of 9.8 m/s ,this speed increases depending on the weight of the object. In the case of the fully loaded Airbus A380, it just needs to move at a speed faster than the speed it would would fall due to gravity, the jet engines make sure it moves faster than the speed due to gravity hence it takes off. Other things like wings etc play a factor too

The ancients built the pyramids and we built A380s. Both marvels of their times. Lucky I got to ride on Thai airlines version of this plane. In business class to boot. Enjoyed every minute.
I’ve been fortunate to fly the A380 twice, JFK to Seoul and back. It’s an amazing aircraft!
I don't even know how many I've done. Dubai Auckland or Christchurch probably ten trips, CHC and sometimes AKL via a stop in SYD or MEL (sometimes with a leg on QANTAS A380 instead of Emirates). And almost all of those with DXB Moscow in A380 as well. Also DME-DXB-Korea and return once. Those are all Emirates. Plus SFO Paris and Frankfurt on AF and LH. The Emirates planes are by far the nicest, but any A380 beats any B777 in economy class.
Yup ..and the best in Turbulences ..sooo smooth
Im about to fly the A380 again for my trip to Thailand next month (Amsterdam to Bangkok) and i can say with ease its the best plane to fly on hands down .
I flew on one two days ago, from Bangkok to Hong Hong, absolutely amazing!
yeah it’s so quite inside you don’t even realise you are taking ofd
Love flying on these! The security of having 4 engines is something special.
@Lubabalo haha
They are so reliable, that more engines you have, the greater the chance of a failure.
@Lubabalo ะ
@@remeyrune6009 but if it the plane "can" use only 2 engines to get back safely to the ground then you have 2 extra chances sorta speak if you have engine failures
@@daniello-g5593 one engine could blow out and damage the other. If that happens on both sides then you’re in a stiffy.
I particularly love 4 engines planes.
I flew on one from Abu Dhabi to JFK in 2020,
The plane is so massive on the inside you hardly feel you are in the air after take off.
That bird is HUGE ✈️😍
Yeahhhhh
I love watching these planes land and takeoff from the airport I work at, absolute beast of a plane 😍
Saw one at Abu Dhabi. They are scarily big. Incredible that they are able to lift off and fly.
We are flying from Heathrow via dubie to perth Emirates a 380 all the way!
Yeah they are big you don't see it like this, but one of the wheels is like a big tractor wheel
It looks terrifying but at the same time you're curious to know what it feels like to ride in one if them
@@carolharris2401 absolutely. I would love to fly in one.
It's like Goliath of the planes. It's an absolute marvel ❤
These modern marvels are something else. Majestic is the only word I can think of to describe them!
Imagine if the Wright Brothers saw this?
That plane is fantastic. Have been a passenger several time. It is amazing.
About 10 years ago, I watched a 4 hour 4 part series (I believe it on the History Channel) featuring the design, fabrication, and assembly process from start to finish of this unbelievable piece of aviation engineering- still amazes me to this day
Having worked in & around planes for over 25 years & seen 1000 s of take offs & landings , I still love to see a take off on youtube.💓
I flew three gorgeous times on the A 380-800. My dream came true. Sitting next to the enormous wing, it looked like a giant icefield!
The huge engines can absorb a truck completely... I hope the plane will fly till eternity. Please do not stop flying with it!
The thing that Wowed me most about the A380 when I saw it in real was not the body size but the size of the Tail Fin!!
It does look bloody massive
Travelled on Emirates. Quiet and smooth. Hi tech. My best flight experience yet.
What a stunning video! I have seen many similar ones here on YT, but yours is absolutely amazing. It shows what a beauty the A380 truly is.
Beautiful video of a beautiful aircraft well done!
Many thanks!
When I fly, I always love the take off & the landing - it's such a buzz !!
Waahhhhh. The way I fear the take off😂
Когда я впервые увидел этот лайнер, меня просто парализовало! Это невероятная красота и мощь!
Nice smooth videography. :-) A pleasure to watch such a graceful aircraft lift smoothly into the sky without the imagery jittering around. 👍😃
Awesomeness personified!.. what a beautiful sight!
So stunning beautiful sharing 🥰🤩
Thank you! Cheers!
The best part is that lift from the runway, I love it.
Agree Poetry in motion
What a beautiful machine. Its large but thoughtful, with its wingtips painted with the logo like a paper handfan. Just stunning.
Magnificent aircraft
They are a pleasure to fly in and the smoothest flight to Italy I have ever had. Critics can say what they like about the A380 but the best aircraft ever built and trumps the B747.
Yes but a nightmare to maintain.
Fully agree. Been flying around the world in every conceivable aircraft. Nothing beats the A380 in smoothness, comfort and sheer flying pleasure.
Amazing video, you really get a sense of scale seeing the tiny pilots and the massive engine intakes, superb.
Thanks for the kind words!

I just love looking at these machines. Amazing work !!!
I've flown more times than I can count. Still in absolute awe that we as a civilization created this.
What's not to love about this. Spectacular up close footage. Awesome!!!
Thanks very much!
@@TKsPlaneSpotting Thanks for a great video.
Travelled on EmiratesAirbus 380 first time last month what a beautiful plane very smooth landing and takeoff loved it
Greatest aircraft I’ve ever been on, a mastery of engineering.
Seeing the most advanced commercial aircraft (Airbus A380) is such a breathtaking scene.
This is the gold standard of aviation footage. You will struggle to find better content.
Bravo !!
Thanks very much!
Amazing that these planes even fly. So huge and heavy
Beautiful take off lovely God bless the pilot❤
I always watch these machines take off and land a lot during my free time. The speed and their weight, stability in the air always baffles me.
It's so awe inspiring watching it lift off. I like watching the front lifts up and it looks like the tail is still on the ground it's amazing
Flew to Dubai from Houston 14 hours on A380 . Awesome experience!
Just flew on this beast from Dubai to London and the landing was silky smooth. Absolute juggernaut of the skies.
It’s mental how such a massive aircraft can liftoff the ground I’ve seen many time and time again and it’s awesome to see them takeoff and land
I’m totally besotted with the A380. Strange but true!
When I see an all electric version of this, I’ll believe we have arrived in the electric age. Not gonna hold my breath.
A380 is a pure beauty in itself ❤❤
I am on these regularly between the UK and elsewhere as I travel around the world on business. Ive been on all sorts but these things knock the spots off of anything else out there, Boeings or otherwise. Soooo smooth, and quiet. Never fail to sleep well on them, either.
So massive. I love the take off from 2:42 when you're in your seat and all of a sudden the engine really gos and it's go time. I hate thale actual struggle after lift off and I love to land. When I'm not flying and I watch planes I shake my head like why do we even get in one of those.
🤩 The A380 is a beautiful aircraft. I traveled in it often around the world and it was a different and good experience every time. 🤩
Excellent Aircraft
Goosebumps footage....👌👌
I just got my first time experience to fly with A380 last month using Emirates Dubai - Paris. Smooth take off and landing of this giant aircraft. Loved it!
Awesome, a thing of beauty, makes you wander how a massive plane can fly? Engineers, mechanics, scientist’s etc
, incredible 😮👊👊
I ❤️ Emirates A380 can't wait to start flying back
Good job 👍 love from India 🇮🇳
thanks!
Just truly amazing! ✈️
One of my many great child hood memories were going with my dad to the airport in London to watch the planes take off and land. It would be packed with people in the summer. I remember seeing the presidents plane air force one landing and taking off. Just amazing!!
I found that terrifying ! It just looked like it was going in slow motion. Miraculous.
Amazing to see the gigant fly. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching
The ability to get this behemoth into the air not is only a testament to the power of her engines, it’s also a reminder of the force that air can exert on objects. It’s just air, albeit, moving air, that supports aircraft in flight. The same force that blows up tornadoes and hurricanes that overmatch most anything in their path. However you look at it, though, these enormous aircraft are mind boggling.
Grazie 🗽🌎♥️♥️♥️♥️😘🥇🇮🇪
Stunning footage !
Thanks very much mate!
No doubt. Amazing and stunning.
Totally agree that it is a truly amazing thing that such a monster can get off the ground and fly. Ciao
Fascinating.
I have been on this a380 before and it was a mesmerising experience ( especially cuz I was on top deck), one of the best experiences in my life
It didn't look as though it was going fast enough to take off, but very graceful.
i’ve seen them taken off they surprisingly take off very slow or it could be an illusion because these boys are huge
I've watched hundreds of videos but amazes me how these things make it off the ground.
It is called ‘lift’ caused by airflow over the wing surfaces at a particular speed and plane weight.
A marvel of mathematics. The take off is indeed a thing of beauty. Agreed.
@@eugeneantczak4809 I know how it works but you have to admire the engineering to get a plane this big and heavy into the air.
I'm with you Deputy.I wonder everyday how such a massive object can lift off the ground! One of the greatest achievement of science
I can watch a plane take off forever❤
Excellent quality video, great light and super steady filiming. It was great to see this giant Emirates A380 depart.
Stunning is right, seeing a 620 ton jet takeoff so gracefully with such ease!

@@TKsPlaneSpotting You're welcome!
Emirates has 3 different take-off weight variants.. 510T, 569T and 575T….. 620T does not exist.

Interesting to see the FO wiping down the inside of the windshield at 1:15! Despite all the instrumentation, you still need to be able to see where you're going! 😃 Great video of this golden hour take-off!
Cheers!

So smooth and quiet. Flew to LAX on one but returned on a 747, the difference between the two was noticeable.

That's a hell of a bird!!!
For all the talk about how we're in this great age of innovation I feel as though the great, truly life-improving inventions are behind us. Airplanes, the automobile, air-conditioning, heating, refrigeration, stoves and ovens, the telephone, lighting and electricity, these were all so groundbreaking. One of the best ever decisions I made 5 years ago was moving to Dubai. I’ve flown the 380 at least 50 times since, never having flown it before it is without doubt the smoothest quietest plane on the planet.

Great vid. Still haven't flown one :( Was supposed to fly one Sydney to HK, but our connecting flight from WLG was diverted due to as medical emergency. First time flying Qantas, I was impressed with how smoothly they dealt with the aftermath.
