- In observance of Losar ( Tibetan New Year ), the Female Fire Bird, several monks from at least three different Kagyu monasteries performed an over 10 hour-long Cham ( ritual dance ). “Above all, be at ease, be as natural and spacious as possible. Slip quietly out of the noose of your habitual anxious self, release all grasping, and relax into your true nature. The ultimately inseparable Dharma Protector Mahakala is the wrathful form manifested from all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas when they subdue the extreme degenerated sentient beings. Mahakala is the Bodhisattva with immeasurable power of blessings. He protects the practitioners and all sentient beings from obstacles and leads them to complete Buddhahood for the benefit of oneself and all sentient beings.
