Fantastic video.
For other viewers, I recommend watching it through to the end, and then go back through pausing while completing each step.
love it. glad i saw this post (although i'm already a subscriber). having regularly used assets saved or linked inside premiere definitely saves time from searching folders in the computer each time.
AMAZING! HOW DID I NOT KNOW THIS BEFORE!!?! THANK YOUUU
Thank you. So helpful!!!
Bro. Informative. Thank you so much
Sickkkkkkkkk video dude!!! I’m SO excited to implement Productions into my workflow!
You better! I'll check back in a week. :D appreciate it man.
Always 🔥🔥
Thank you. Trying to up the production value. 🙃
You’ve got me so extremely hooked in the first minute.
That's great! It's a powerful feature in Premiere!
Bro I was looking to integrate and the first tutorial that popped was yours!!! awesome job man
Yes! Let's goooo!
bro! welcome back!
Thank you. Feels good! I'm going to try my best to be consistent! :)
Kyler always shows the coolest techniques/workflows 😎,
Thanks Rivu! I'm always trying to come up with something new! :]
@@KYLERHOLLAND .. thank you so much for that ..
thank you! man
You're welcome!
Thank you for your video. I have never streamlined my projects with this level of efficiency. After watching your video, I can finish my projects much faster.
That's great to hear! If you take the time to setup your Production, you'll start to see how much time you can save on future Projects!
@@KYLERHOLLAND Keep the great content coming. I will receive all of your notifications.
Thanks Kyler, very helpful!! Must be coincidence as I'm from "Holland" (The Netherlands) haha. Keep it up!
So cool! I'm actually traveling around France rn for the Tour de France.
I had a very similar workflow setup like this. Great tutorial it’ll help and really improve that workflow of mine even more.
What did you do? Save everything in projects and then pull from them? I'm curious. :D
@@KYLERHOLLAND What I would do is save I guess you can call them templates. I would already have save files on my desktop titled IG, CZcams, and etc. The save files would have aspect ratio and adjustment layers ready etc. Certain files would always be ready for that particular content like SFX for sports. When it was time to use assets I’d normally need for a different genre of content I’d have to search for it since it’s not in the CZcams save file and it’d normally be in the IG save file. When it came time to save or render the video I’d rename it so that the original save file would remain untouched and I could constantly go to it for new projects as a starting point.
@@cledanornordiles4717 that's a great way to stay organized. I can only imagine how productions will save you more time! :)
How do you get to the file explorer? I'm on a Mac. Is it the same as Finder? Thanks for the great video.
Thank you So much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the content that is needed 🙌 The only thing that I am unsure on is... Do you open every project within the production now? Wouldn't that slow down Pr? Or do you work on it, export and then delete from within the production?
Premiere slows down when a project has a ton of files. A PRODUCTION will actually break up those projects so it can run faster and only pull in assets you need for the project you are working on. I have had no bottlenecks yet. :) I haven't deleted any projects yet and it's been about 15 project files since creating it. The thing is. When a project is closed, It is not using any resources to just stay in the production.
PRODUCTIONS is a GAME CHANGER! Do you think you will start using this new technique to save all of your assets inside Premiere Pro?
I wonder, does this avoid lags from large projects with many many assets ?
Very good video !
From my experience, yes! because you aren't opening everything all the time!
Hey man, thanks for the video. I’m in the middle of a documentary edit. Is there any chance to mess up the project if I try to convert it into a production?
I don't believe so but I would definitely make a backup of your project on another hard drive before trying that out! It also might be more challenging to convert it to a production vs starting out with a production.
Envato 50% discount, how can we apply? When I go to purchase it shows me 33$
Idk what YT Algorithm is Doing! I was Searching for this and Cannot Even Find How to Setup Productions! Almost all videos telling What is Productions? How you can use Productions? Etc, I wanted to know HOW TO SETUP PRODUCTIONS IN PREMIERE PRO? (Because no one can use productions without setting it up XD)
I'm Happy you Made This! (I Fully Set it up with this Guide, And Now I Know Why Every Creator Should Know This)
Hey I have a problem with this: as you mentioned in @2:15 i tried using an asset from a production in the project I'm currently cutting. It worked fine with a .png file without creating an instance in the cut file, but the moment I want to use a squence from another production project an instance or a copy of that sequence iside that project file. What I would like to eventually achive is to have an animated logo sequence that I can change in one file and it will automatically be updated in all other files that use that logo referance. Do you know is that even possible with sequences?
Hmm I see. As soon as you pull it from that production into a separate project you are cutting, it is treated like its own sequence and will not reference back to the production. The best bet is to change the logo animation at the source. (Your production) this is the only way to make sure the future projects have the updated version.
I hope they make smart sequences in the future.
👏🏻👏🏻🇮🇹
Ayeeee! Thanks!
I guess it is almost like the power bins in Davinci Resolve
I dont get it. Why do we have to copy the overlays to the folder first and then copy them in to premier pro once again. The folder is already inside production folder right? shouldnt it just be shown there automaticly? I got confused.
You're right. Think of the production as a storage house for all of your assets. Once you import "overlays" into your production. It will always be ready for you to use. Just open that overlays project file within your production. Whatever overlay you deside to use drag it into the project you are working on. Premiere will only use that singular "overlay" file in your project. It basically doesn't slow your current project down and allows for a better organization system instead of having to hunt for specific overlays on your computer. I hope this helps. Happy to clarify more.
Kyler, Final Cut Pro now has object tracking bro.
Finally. Hahaha I just saw that!
when i tried to rename the "untitle" to overlay and press enter it never renames the folder. also when i tried to create a project folder in the productions panel, the folder doesnt appear.. im lost.. and i really like the idea of this feture... HELP
What version of Premiere are you using? I would try right clicking then select rename instead of clicking to rename. Try dragging in a project that you already have too and see if that'll import. You should be able to right click anywhere in the production panel to make a new project.
Where can we download the overlays from?
You can checkout the Envato Elements link in my description for 50% off or just look on CZcams! :]
@@KYLERHOLLAND Thank You so much
2:33 - The dude has 35-40 TB of storage dang bro! kudos!
:] It has grown to 90TB
This makes zero sense to me. So it just makes you keep all your assets in the same folder. That's the whole fuss about it?
I'd never do something like that, I want to have all the assets of that specific project inside of the project folder.
Sorry but I just cannot see how this is useful. What does it make easier?
