- The new Productions feature in Adobe Premiere Pro has been a game-changer for my video-editing workflow. It lets you easily share assets between different projects without messy duplicate bins or long wait times while files load. Efficiency on fleek, y'all.

i honestly can't believe i found a youtuber that not only doesn't yell at the camera everytime but ALSO has good aesthetic criteria ♥ subbed!!!
Hi Sandro! That's such a nice comment. So glad you enjoyed the video and really appreciate the sub. 🙏
You answered my questions beautifully!!! My searches were painfully not giving me the answer till your video! Bless you!! The order you show and clarity is perfection!
One of the best, most comprehensive reviews on Premiere Productions yet! Mary is a champ (and funny!).
Mkay, officially putting this comment on my fridge so I can read it the next time I need a pep talk. Thank you so much!
The banana and avocado idea is realy clever. Makes it so easy to understand. Great work!
Aww, thanks for letting me know. Means a lot that you notice those little touches!
Mary, first time here. Brilliant! Had no idea this is so useful and now I’m reorganizing:) Love your tight organizing as well. Thank youuuu

You are my new favorite CZcamsr. I don't understand why your channel has not blown up. Keep up the amazing work
Kirsty, thank you so much! I am equally confused, but I appreciate the encouragement. 😊
Cant believe this video has so little views and likes.. Thank you so much, your content is amazing! Subscribed!!
Thank you so much, @Jonathan Maniaci. 🙂
I’m a professional video editor, but that doesn’t mean I know everything, then I stumbled on your channel. You are so underrated! I subbed! Thank you for your videos 🥹✨
Aww, thank you so much, Angelica! I had been editing for a while, too, when I made a lot of these tutorials, but there was so much I didn't know.
Thanks. Your efforts are more than appreciated, they're a freakin' godsend of clarity and concise info.
Aww, I appreciate this so much because that's just what I'm going for. Glad this was helpful!

I am constantly blown away by your work! I'm starting a new job next week using productions and your page was the first place I went to learn about it because I knew you'd have an awesome video. You are going to blow up on youtube any day now because your content is so high quality.
Wow, this just made my day, seriously. It's really nice to hear that the tutorials are as helpful as I try to make 'em! Thank you so much. 🙏
Thx. Great presentation!
Hey Mary! I ran into your video tonight by accident and QUICKLY learned that you're the bees knees and the cat's meow! I enjoyed your clear and easy-going tutorial on productions. Great pacing and I love the light humor. I am launching off into a new career as a full-time doc filmmaker and am going to make this my new standard way. You've definitely got a new sub and big ole thumbs up. Thanks so much and great to meet you! ❤
Hey, @hbmorris5558. 👋 So glad to hear this was helpful - thanks for letting me know and for the nice feedback. And congrats on launching a career as a documentary filmmaker! It's my fave genre for sure.
Productions has totally changed my workflow, and I'm sure it's going to make your edits easier. Best of luck with your projects!
@@marybetsy Thanks, Mary! Wow, your content is SO varied. Pretty amazing!
Love this video thank you is absolutely perfect! You’re natural at this
Thank you so much, @Blessing Park! Appreciate your support. 🙌 🙏
Migrating to Premiere 2020 later today; and this is such a handy breakdown for creating a new workflow moving forward. Many thanks!
You're welcome @Redhairedguy! So glad it's been helpful .🙌
loving the vibe , info, & flow. keep it up girl
Thank you so much, @A Positive Impact! 🙌
I can see SO many uses for this. The first thing that comes to mind, is an internal b-roll "Favorite" and an external b-roll "Favorite". (Internal being shot by me and my ol' GH4, and External being shot by the occasional outside fancy-pants video firm on fancy-pants cinema cams) I'm always re-importing much of the same b-roll into each new proj. This is gonna be a life saver. THANKS!
Subbed btw. U ROCK.
You're welcome, @daverizz! I'm so glad you found it helpful and really appreciate you subbing. 🙌
Great Video Thanks a lot! 🙌🐱
you're going to be very successful
Excellent video. Thanks

Was super helpful, thanks
So happy to hear that! Appreciate the comment, too. 🙂
These tutorials are next level @adobe !!
Thank you so much, Calvin! 🙏
As an editor working at a company that is growing (and used and hated Teams), this is so helpful! We're going to do a test run using Productions instead. Keep the great stuff coming!
So glad to hear this was helpful, Bobby. Hope Productions treats your team better.
So, how your test went?)
Thank you for your well-made videos. Keep up the good work. Cheers from Hamburg, Germany.
Vielen Dank! Ich freue mich, dass dieses Video dir geholfen hat. Ich hab mal in Bamberg gelebt und hab viele schöne Erinnerungen an Deutschland. Grüße aus den USA. ✌️
High quality video damn!!!
Thanks so much, Dakota!
HEY Mary! My friend Ejypt and I just stumbled upon you're page while editing and learning some new skills.
I HAVE TO SAY...
You should have 500k subscribers! Great video and editing with some awesome explanations and audio! Well done. Keep going and if I have any sort of advice I would say double down on your advertising and promotion. You have amazing skills and consistency !!! Subscribed
Wow - thank you for the feedback and sub! It means a lot. 🙏
And I appreciate the advice. I've been focusing a lot on creating a course, but just finished and will be paying more attention to CZcams going forward, so 500K is on the horizon for sure.
Super video, great editing, even better explanation.
Really appreciate it. 🙏
Awesome training madam. Gracias. Subscribed.

never heard of you before but i love your style...SUBCRIBE!!
Thank you, @claude apollon! 🙏
great job
Thanks, Michael. Appreciate the comment.
Thanks for the great video! Do you copy your favorites project into every new production, or is it just one project file that's a part of many productions?
Glad you found it helpful! I do copy that favorites project into each new production because I think each project can only belong to one production.
@@marybetsy Awesome, thanks for the response!
wow how is it possible with this quality to have so few views. That's rather demotivating to think about starting a youtube channel
Ha, I ask myself the same thing! Really appreciate this comment and can't tell ya how happy I am to hear you're considering starting a channel. Your video skills will grow like crazy. Anyway, I'm subbed and will be looking out for your stuff. 👊🙂
Super video! I applauded for $2.00 👏
Oh, wow! Thank you so much! Glad this was helpful for you.
Mary, this is *AMAZING* ! Been studying this new feature for a while now and this is, for sure, the most comprehensive video on Premiere Productions I have come across! I would love to implement this workflow but I still have some questions:
I am used to the most common method of creating and organizing projects, with folders like: 00 - project files, 01 - footage, 02 - audio, etc etc. and now it still feels a bit weird to "separate" that organization between project files and project media. How would you suggest organizing the media to minimize confusion on the explorer/finder? This is probably too much to ask but what are the chances of video chatting with you about this? 😁 pweeeeaaasee!
Hey, João! Thank you so much for the nice feedback - it means a lot and I'm glad you found this helpful. I agree that it's weird to think about organizing files differently, but here's what I do.
Computer folders
- I have a folder in Finder for the production, and I don't store anything else in that folder or ever move anything in there. It only changes when I make changes from inside Premiere.
- I have another folder in Finder with all of my favorite assets.
- Lastly, I have separate folders that store assets for each video in the production.
Production projects
- Usually I only create one project for each lesson, but if a project is big or bloated, I create a bin for it and create separate projects for footage or sequences as needed.
Anyway, I hope this is helpful. Appreciate your support and good luck with your next edit. 🙌
@@marybetsy Wow Mary! Only saw your answer now!
I love that workflow, and I will be doing the same based on your recommendation! Thanks once again for this amazing video and for your comprehensive answer, means a lot! Best of luck for you and your projects!
This, kind of work, but being a content creator for multiple platforms. Can we make a timeline/sequence template, where all my social media lower thirds, my intros and outros are setup (with audio) with respect to different uploading platform? I will just work on the main content and all this kind of constant motion graphics will be already there in the sequence/timeline. I may just need to shift the timing, but every time copy-paste from a different project is not required. Hope I'm able to explain the requirement, if not please do reply. I will try to explain bit more.
Is this possible for use by remote teams?
No, unfortunately, Productions is just for on-site teams, but Premiere Pro has another feature called Teams that's amazing for remote collaboration. I have a video about it here if you're interested: czcams.com/video/rd4WFU3Cw4E/video.html
I've been enjoying productions BUT for some reason I keep getting the dreaded Recovered Clips folder when I reopen my productions. It is so annoying and defeats the whole purpose of productions.
Oh, no! I do get that every now and then. I want to say I see it when I overwork my computer and Premiere crashes, but I'm not exactly sure. But I can understand that it's annoying. :/
🐱
Thank you so much for your support! 🙂
yay great video!!
Thanks so much, Machiavellian!
