    I never do anything to my Haden. It’s about 20 years old. It is so incredibly vigorous and fruits so abundantly . I’ve never had a single problem with it.

    I hate mangos with fiber. I like when they get ripped and you can cut it in half and spoon it out like a firm custard. I recently had a mango from Puerto Rico it was so delicious it tasted like mango cotton candy. My goodness I never thought I'd like mangos so much. Fiberless and it has that firm custard like texture when ripped.
    Beautiful trees!
    Bless you:)

    Himsagar is the best mango of entire south asia (from where mango was originated). Try to collect and plant some Himsagar or Langra. You'll amazed by the taste. You may find these mangoes in Bangladeshi groceries in the US

    I see you also sell Honey Kiss and Maha Chanook, which should be included in a "best to grow" list because they are compact and their flavor profiles are much different than the three varieties featured in this video. Another really great very productive semi-dwarf is Pickering, which has a coconut flavor. These three are disease-free, too, I believe. I have grown them myself so I can recommend them from personal experience.

      Please let me know what area of Florida I am looking to buy land for mango plants to grow mango

    • @johnbanach3875

      @@imtiazahmed1020 For you and your family? Or a commercial operation? Meaning are you looking for a large lot or for acreage? Mango trees will produce anywhere in South Florida, and in Central Florida from Tampa Bay and Orlando south. The best quality mangos are grown in Atlantic coastal areas up to Brevard County but no farther north.

    I live in Southwest Florida which one you recommend of these types
    Kent
    Nam Doc Mai
    Glenn
    Mallika
    Coco cream

    • @RockledgeGardens
      @RockledgeGardens  Před 3 lety

      The Mallika and the Nam Doc Mai will probably do slightly better if you are in a humid location, but really, you should be able to grow any mango variety that you want in south Florida.
      Just keep an eye out for fungal issues with the Indian mangoes and treat as needed (usually only once or twice per year). The further south, the better for mangoes!

    I’m in fort pierce,, just got a place and planted a lemon meringue and a nom dok mai, what say you about these varieties in my area?

    • @RockledgeGardens
      @RockledgeGardens  Před 3 lety

      They'll do great in your area! The hotter the better. They do fine here but they'll love it a little warmer where you are:)

    Is it possible to grow these trees in St. Augustine zone 9a?

    • @RockledgeGardens
      @RockledgeGardens  Před 3 lety

      It would be a bit of a challenge in the ground. Zone 9a gets around 20-25 at the coldest which will kill mangoes if they are exposed to it for too long. Even zone 9b can be a challenge for young trees.
      You could, however, grow a dwarf variety in a container and move it into somewhere protected like a garage during the cold nights.
      Using liquid seaweed or a growth regulator such as propiconazole has been shown to make plants slightly more cold hardy as well. You could experiment with these as well to give them a slightly higher chance of surviving.

      I'm guessing you meant to write "tasty"...we don't carry the Heidi Mango and no one here is familiar with it but we do carry the Glenn and it's delicious!
