It’s insane how the media twisted Kyrie to be this horrible toxic presence to have on your team. They also judged the trade after less than half a season saying it was a mistake and ESPN gave the Mavericks a D grade for the trade.
I love this team more with Ky on it!

Kevin is the best on air for sure and he did great today, but... @ 10:50 he said Dallas played the best version of themselves. Oh no they didn't sir. Dallas was 6 - 25 from 3. Kyrie and Luka won this game. The others were just ok. This is not the best version.
Facts, its what I noticed watching the game. For the Mavs to be in the game with poor shooting from 3 says a lot about the team. The Mavs from 2 years ago lived and died by the 3 ball, but this team does not
Was thinking the same thing. If they shoot 40% from 3 it’s a blowout. But they did thoroughly outplay Minnesota in every other aspect. So he wasn’t far off.
On that note, this version of the Mavs are unbeatable when they shoot at least 40 % from 3. I’m curious what their record is on those occasions since February. Undefeated?
I would argue that the Wolves had several players having like the nights of their lives. But I guess Harlen was more focused on their Big 3 "coming out flat". I still think the Wolves are in some trouble. Luka and the Mavs just ate up that drop coverage. But what else are you gonna do with Rudy?
You would probably want to take Gobert off the court if you were gonna start blitzing Luka & Kyrie. Need quicker and more agile players.

The Wolves literally didn’t play a bad game at all and they came out on fire the Mavs were just the better team and found a way to win. Mavs didn’t play a good basketball game at all at best they played a C game they were not good defensively that 1st half and they shot 6-24 from 3 and it was mainly all Luka, Kyrie and the Centers who had average games. I’ve said it a bunch of times this Mavs team still hasn’t had a single great game this playoffs where everyone plays great from start to finish they have had stretches in games but not a complete game. I keep telling people this Mavs team is not like any other offensively or defensively and they have proven over and over they can beat you in so many ways and still have way more other ways to beat teams that they haven’t needed to use specifically Luka in the post and that just destroys teams defensive coverages because of his scoring and playmaking from the guard position.
both teams were not playing great in game 1.. that is due to their defense against each other.. Dallas was shooting poorly on the 3.. it all came down to who can make the stops when it matters and who delivers in the clutch..
Dallas didn’t hit 3’s though. We did not play our best game! Specifically from the role players! People are talking like we peaked and they haven’t. Lies!
