Thanks! And sorry it took so long to see this comment. Unfortunately, save files/icons only seem to get videos if they're from the PS2. There's only been a few Gamecube/Wii vids, like 2 OG Xbox vids, and everything else gets jack squat (I might be the only person who's made a video on Wii U save icons).
I like icons that change when you copy/delete the save, really tells you how much detail the developers wanted to add just for a few weird people to appreciate it years later. Also, thank you for documenting these, you don't see people doing that often and it's really unfortunate.
Thanks! If it were me, every icon would be required to have that. There's been some attempts to archive these but it's unfourtunately a small bit completed across several areas of the web.
So much nostalgia I remember this. No wonder PS2 is the best selling console of all time by far. Such a legendary and an iconic system. Glad that my childhood got invested in this. Many cherished, incredible, fond and good memories on it. You would not see this type of stuff on the newer computers (even though PS4 and PS5 are awesome). Thank you for sharing this much appreciated. There's never enough of PS2 content even if it's endless. I played so many great games on it. The library was insane, so wide and powerful titles. Watching this is like revisiting my kid years. Awesome.
Indeed. the only other console that did this was the 3ds, which made sound effects when they popped up so that was fun, but it lacks the sound that makes the ps2 as a whole cool, and many icons were strapped into the same spinning 3d world with a logo design, not as fun. the 8th gen onwards completely goes away with this sans the aforementioned 3ds, the vita, and sorta the wii u (even if it is a bit boring). They all just becomes promo images and posters from the games, and the only thing keeping these interesting is the wallpaper (in the ps4/5 versions at least) that pops up when you select a game.
@@NinteSegaRarew i dunno, there doesnt seem to be a full acronym but they are part of optical disc images. theyre like the disc version of roms (read only memories), and are what is used for emulators.
I am considering myself to buy a ps2, even though you can play in better versions, aka emulators, I would still rather playing on my TV just for childhood reasons.
Cool! Don't see these things being preserved much in video game history

Could you share your save file? I create a database with all the icons of PS2 games currently there are 4737 icons
These aren't mine, I downloaded them off of their respective "saves" pages on Gamfaqs.
Where's your database located at?

What it is from
Jak II: Renegade.
The title for Jak II is explicitly seen when he selected the icon of Dark Jak's head.
