      Before you upgrade the throttle body, run again with 1/4 tank of gas or less (6 lbs per gallon X 26 = 156 lbs for a full tank) , clean out the clutter, drop the spare and drive solo. Whatever you can do short of ripping out the seats. Maybe overinflate the tires. Not practical for everyday driving but OK if you're shooting for a low 0 -60. 4.8 ?

      @derekgardin1512 Před 2 lety +7

      The ECU has a range of adjustment that it will compensate. It's not that much different that it would put it outside of the limits of the ECUs correction abilities. They are very adaptive. They have to be. Cars are driven in all kinds of conditions, temperatures, quality of fuel , load... want me to keep going? The ECU is fine. With all the extra air the supercharger is shoving in there now that piping increase is nothing.

    • @CORZER0
      @CORZER0 Před 2 lety +1

      @@derekgardin1512 His logic is correct though, increasing the diameter will decrease air velocity. This will send bad data to the ECU. Good idea to check values after making any flow mods.

    • @JordieG8
      @JordieG8 Před 2 lety

      @@derekgardin1512 Yes, the ECU has some ability to adjust various outputs based on changing inputs, but they rarely haven’t the ability to adjust for major hardware changes. The MAF sensor needs to be recalibrated when changing the diameter of the pipe it sits in. Going from a 2.5 inch to a 3 inch could mean a 17 percents increase in flow at a given voltage or frequency (fever that this is a GM).

    On the faster run the truck shifted better through the gears. If you haven’t changed the trans fluid it might be worth considering

  • @CJColvin

    You need to add a Cat-back exhaust system on you're wife's Escalade as well so you can not only get more power but also get more sound as well.

      shorty headers will help out too....i have a similar setup with headers, cat back borla exhaust and meth injection to keep the temps lower for the air going in.

    I love the videos of you with your wife talking about cars and that ‘I know YOU want a throttle body’ line sounds exactly like my girlfriend when I want to do something to one of our cars that she couldn’t care less about. Your wife needs to do her own channel for advice on how to live with a car guy! LegitWifeyCars!

    Yeah, I think you send back the cold air intake, reinstall the K&N, and stock air box, and get that 104mm as opposed to the stock 90mm!

  • @nv8176
    @nv8176 Před 2 lety +3

    The cone filter setup looks much more restrictive than stock for sure, check for bottleneck restrictions, you should try it with factory setup and kn filter i bet you'll do a better 0 to 60.

    In your base line, you should have no filter installed.

    You and your wife are hilarious together!
    Every time my wife drives our NB Miata with a voodoo2 turbo she never drives it hard enough to get heat in the cat and comes back with an engine code for catalyst inefficiency. I had her punch it in second and she said “that’s too much” at about 4,500rpm an let off.
