I think the VoicePlay community takes its cue from the guys themselves. They never try to be competitive, they just want to put out good music and try to also make it visually appealing. For example, Eli chose a grunge rock song from Soundgarden, but choose the look of the video to be cyberpunk.
Layne has charge of the next one and they have one VERY interesting set, even though his chosen featured artist won’t be able to shoot until next month. So they may only be able to release minis next month. But Layne’s visions are worth waiting for!
It certainly is a community worth being part of. Thank you for checking out more VP - they certainly are amazing and beyond fair-levels talented - but we are here for it! 😉. Great arrangement by Eli and Layne and we appreciate all the hard work that went into that set Eli! 🌹🕊
VoicePlay is incredible. I just love the harmony; Anthony fits right in. FYI: Check out their previous video, Sleeping in the Cold Below. That is a true masterpiece. However, please be careful. You may catch the "Sisters Below" earworm. Symptoms are bopping your head to the catchy beat, Singing along, and getting that song stuck in your head. Ashley caught it. So did I. I promise that you will love it.
I'm continually amazed and delighted by this group. It seems they'll tackle anything and give it a unique and stellar touch.
The VoicePlay community is definitely welcoming and seems focused on lifting up rather than tearing down.
It may be that the guys themselves are evocative of that ethos. When any member has departed the group, they've been sent off with a mix of sadness, understanding and respect plus an open welcome back at any time. And new members are brought in with love and allowed to find their own place in the group.
Perhaps because this group is independent and each member has side jobs they've developed a unique understanding of life and the struggles everyone faces behind the scenes.
VoicePlay fans are as lovely as the guys themselves, I think. They really are such genuine, loving, talented but humble people and how can we not emulate that, being the best that we can be? Yes they are my favourite a capella group, and I"m addicted to them, I admit. But I don't see that as a reason to be negative about other artists.
God I love it when Anthony joins them.
The Cyberpunk mention is because it’s in the Cyberpunk video game. It’s a song you hear on the radio in the game I think.
They’ve been doing a lot of video game music recently. I approve ‘cause I’m a gamer. 😊
You missed a cool bit from Layne (it was ten viewings before I noticed it myself).
When they return to Anthony for his second shot at lead, the last word he sings is snake. Layne does a snake.
I think VP would honestly be unhappy if any of their fans were mean or rude in their name. They’re the nicest bunch of guys - not an ego between all four of them.
And you’re the second reactor to mention the fan base in their reaction to this vid. I feel like something may have happened recently to put some burrs under some saddles or something?
Such a complex arrangement. Loved Cesar's opening-just beautiful. Anthony such a riff-master, and Eli has bloomed incredibly in the last couple of years. And then there are the two anchors in Layne and Geoff. How fortunate can we get?
