Fun fact Anthony (good job with his last name) wasn't the original featured singer. The original singer ended up getting sick and couldn't perform with them. So they called Anthony up and he agreed,. Learned his part, recorded it and was on a plane heading to Florida to recorded the video.
Its amazing how they're able to fit featured singers in and make it sound like they've been singing together for years
Fitting, considering Anthony was the intended featured singer for Hoist the Colors but couldn't fly to Florida because of Covid restrictions. Jose Rosario lives within driving distance of Orlando, so he was able to fill in.

Voiceplay released their new video today, the 28th..... Classical Chaos.
It is absolutely amazing and fun.
They brought back the characters from their "In The Hall of The Mountain King" video.
Yes it's pronounced as Garjoola. :) Voicrplay never copy a song, they make it their own. As Geoff has said, they are not karaoke singers. Their arrangements are always unique.

This was the third in a 'post-apocalyptic' series, starting with 'Warriors', then 'Dream On'..! Filmed in an abandoned department store near their location in Florida - they had to 'creatively enter', as their contact did not show! There was no power for lighting, so they had to use the natural light on the first floor - the graffiti was real, you might spot on a pillar where they had to use tape to cover some 'adult' stuff..! 😉 Love this version - for a completely different take on this song, try the Post Modern Jukebox version, featuring Haley Reinhart..! 😁
Anthony is exceptional. So young, and so talented. I love this cover, but I think my favorites with him are "The Wellerman" and "Golden Hour."
They are premiering another one tomorrow. Think a more futuristic time with a different version of rock. I think you’ll like it. At least I do!

Fun fact: Anthony's mom and Eli's mom are good friends. The VP guys already considered Anthony part of the family before he filmed his first video with them.

I would say yeah, you may not like it more than their version but it’s a main stay for 2000s rock music. It’s an iconic track!
You might like VoicePlay's version even better after that one.
I agree with gawgia3 here - it IS iconic, but I on my part cannot stand it (and really love this version!)

As for the original: It is an interesting song, but I am not particularly fond of the singer's voice. Or, in other word: it really gets onto my nerves. So, anybody singing this song who was not the original singer was an improvement for me. But I think Voiceplay gave us everything we might have ever dreamt of while listening to that song, and then some.
I can listen to their version everyday and if never gets old. And no, the video is fun, but I still love the song even when only listening.
I gotcha, the original isn’t for everyone, I’m glad you found a version you enjoy!
@@gawgia3 oh, I even found a second one... 😃There is a great version by Postmodern Jukebox, who make their version more jazzy, I think. I dunno if you would like to react to it, but maybe check it out just for fun.
