I absolutely fell in love with this series and these characters. it felt like I'm part of this family and I cried happy tears at some point in the middle of watching that this exists and I cried at the end and I wish there were more seasons

It is time for "Looking" to be brought back. HBO ignored the success of the show.

I thought this EXACT thing seeing Murray on the show. It’s like an AU of his role on Looking lol

Nope. The show just didn’t work. It was boring and cliche for this day and age. I gave it a chance but just wasn’t that good or compelling.

As long as Jonathan can still also do Mindhunter, then okay. Looking was okay. It wasn’t that interesting of a story for a show. It just seemed like normal people’s dating lives. But I’m bored with most sitcoms about everyday life. Insecure is an exception to that. Maybe a Northern Exposure meets Looking would be more interesting. San Francisco is only for the wealthy now and has changed to become unrecognizable

I only started watching Looking two days ago and it pains me how old all things Looking are. Interviews, materials, specials and so on. It really deserved a longer run. Come on, HBO!

I'll watch Murray in anything, but Looking was kind of boring plot wise. Though most straight shows are also like it and also boring and they are allowed to be kept on . . .so I see that point. I don't like Netflix because they cancel any show lead and written by women.

6:46 the show really did do that for me! I enjoyed it a lot and it felt so exciting to watch sth coming from the community that I'm in and that I love so much.

As a young gay closeted man the original series helped me to recognize that there was a community in which I belonged. I’m excited to see the new version and hope that it helps that little gay boy out there as the original did for me.

Grateful for the powerful mesage TOC delivered all around the world.

  • @jennyonthespectrum4581

The only complaint I have is that they messed up the timeline (they'd be much older if it were modern times).
Also, I love the original series because it was just so campy and had a comforting feel that the newer one just doesn't have. I think that may also be the times they are taking place. Modern SF doesn't have a hippie leftover vibe. . .there's a super rich/poor vibe. It has unfortunately become unlivable for most people.

Charlie Barnett and Murray Bartlett would make a beautiful couple though. Kudos for bringing back the original Brian also.
