I have this planted along with Microclover instead of grass in part of my backyard! You don’t need to mow, it chokes out weeds, it puts nitrogen back in the ground, and it’s a great source of food for deer ❤.
Where do you get micro clover?
When I was a child, me and my brothers would snack on the red clover blossoms all the time from our yard. Its nectar is so sweet, it's more like a natural candy.
We did the same thing too growing up in New England country with seven siblings...it was like candy. Loved it!
I'm old enough to not care about what anyone says about my 'she didn't get it all' method of mowing my pastures. There are oddly shaped patches where I have yarrow or red clover growing in abundance. Besides, the horses like to eat the seed heads off of the various grasses when they get very tall. When I started making my own skin cream a few years ago, not only was I delighted with the way it worked, I was also very delighted at how much money I saved. Read that price per ounce sticker on the shelf!! You'd think that they put gold flakes in there! Plus, if I put L'oreal or something on a cut or something - boy did it sting. My homemade moisturizer doesn't sting, only soaks in and does what it is supposed to gently. Thanks for this video on red clover Heidi - Rain Country is my favorite YT channel.

I have a small patch of red clover growing in my lawn, ive been drying and storing for the last two or three years. I drive my next door neighbour mad because i wont mow it down when ots growing lol, she hayes my messy garden, but its only messy because i keep useful 'weeds' and a wild blackberry bush 😂 thank you for the info. My GP told me to take calcium and it ended up depositing on the arthritis in my hands and gave me trigger thumb. Had to have an operation and the surgeons told me not to take calcuim and to find it in natural sources. I'll be drinking tea clover tea now. Thank you, god bless you, love from the UK 🇬🇧 ❤❤

He's going to take me and my van to fix. Ive lost a huge amount of cash. But. I'm safe. Found my family will always be there bor me. Found lovely people. Abd had an adventure. Glad i have self sufficicency skills too.. and was able to survive this. I better shoot a video on the adventure me thinks.

Is crimson clover more of a true red?
Question= Can you use lard to make salves or balms? I know generally beeswax is number one. Thinking if don't have or can't get beeswax. Godspeed

My bil farms crimson clover for seed as a plant in his field rotation. I love seeing it when there are fields in full bloom.

I just bought some elderberry syrup that had red clover in it along with ginger and mullein. It’s really good. Your skin cream must be good because you look fantastic.
The bees also love red clover, I never thought of letting it grow in the garden though. Nice tips!

I still have dried red clover too.🙂 I planted it when I first was filling a raised bed. It was late summer/early fall so I planted red clover and alfalfa as a cover crop. It's so pretty and the bees love it too.

Red Clover is also high in B17
We planted red clover and rye grass in all 4 paddocks last fall for the sheep and goats. I have white clover out by the chicken coop, and didn’t realize that they work differently. Many Blessings!
I would not say they work differently but I just believe the red has higher medicinal properties, and is a bit prettier and easier to contain

I haven't seen any of your wonderful videos in a couple months. I must say, you look very healthy! A beautiful dewy glow. Grateful for this knowledgeable information. As a child I would always pluck off the whole little flower petal portion and suck on the bottom because they are sweet. I falsely called it "honeysuckle", and did so until I was in my early 30s, lol.
I need to go searching for red clovers near where I live...you mostly only see them on a busy dirt road. I have discovered the petty little purple ground flowers that grow abundantly in my backyard abundantly is called "heals all", or "self heal".
I have never stopped putting out 5 videos a week and have even been putting out extra content 1-5 times a week in the form of shorts. The reason you have not seen it is because youtube has been hiding my content. They are punishing me for speaking out against a video they removed under a false accusation made against it.

Crimson clover vs red clover? Is there a difference? I have a lot of white I’ve allowed to overtake my lawn. I ordered crimson clover for other areas. Sure wish I had known it would be helpful during menopause but definitely see it as a good addition to medical gardens
I would assume the medicinal benefits would be very similar

Heidi, THANK YOU for this info!! I will be starting to do Red Clover + Broccoli SPROUTS and MICROGREENS indoors, but I heard Red Clover and Broccoli are pro-Estrogen producing. After having a recent mastectomy and finding out my body produces too much estrogen, should I stay away from both in the sprouting and microgreens forms??

Yes, after the flower blooms , seeds should form in the flower but would not be mature until the flower dies back

dandelions pretty much only bloom in spring while other similar asters bloom later. I pick all dandelions and red clover as long as they are blooming, regardless of when
I hardly have any growing in my yard, and it’s really expensive to buy. It would probably be worth ordering seeds and planting them someplace right?
Or see if you can find some growing wild, dig it up and transplant it

How long do you dehydrate them in a dehydrator? I hv some growing wild in my field. Maybe I could add this to my Mullin tea if I'm congested.
Do your herbs, at 90 degress in your dehydrator check often until they are dried through. 😊

I have 3 types of clover, white, purple as shown in this video and a bright red that’s a little more elongated. Is the red safe to use?
Are Crimson Clover and Red Clover the same? _Cuz l saw seeds for both..._
They would be very similar, Crimson Clover has a more true red color

White clover is beneficial and has some of the same benefits but red has more
How about with iron? Is it possible to overdo it with foods as compared to taking iron supplement?
It is far less likely but I am sure it can be possible. I cannot take iron, at all, and do not eat liver, one of the highest natural iron sources, but that is mostly because I hate it. Spinach is high in iron but one would have to eat a massive amount for it to be an issue if you are Thalassemic.
How do you get it to spread?
I just let it grow, it does not spread as fast as white clover but does get bigger each year
I ordered crimson clover years ago, bag came labeled red clover...I had a bare spot in the back yard so I broadcast the seed, nothing come up...the second year up popped several little plants, and they weren't red clover...pretty sure I got the right seeds, with the wrong label. Sadly, they didn't come back the following year.

You would have to look into that as I have never bought seed. I would assume people on Etsy sell it
I remember as a kid I would pluck the individual petals and eat the white part for a sweet treat. (okay...I still do that from time to time Haha) Haven't used it in teas or anything yet, but planning on gathering some this spring.

Yes, it is and I did not say it was not good, I am pretty sure I said it also has health benefits it is just that in this video I wanted to focus on red clover as it has more benefits for specific things

You have to be careful with this if your on blood thinners .
Any one on any medication taking any herb for medicinal purposes has to be careful and do their own research.
