Theory: Gen 3 isn’t as good because the group dynamic isn’t as strong when the central character (Franky) isn’t the leader.
@ilikebacon Interesting you found Sid was Gen 1s central character. For me it’s definitely Tony. The first phone call he makes to everyone in the first episode is the best example. I’ve added to my theory, it’s not just that (in my opinion) Tony is the leader and the central character, but Gen 1s story makes more sense because the characters all have a reason to be grouped together. They were a friend group, Tony’s friend group. Gen 3 had no reason for the characters to be grouped together. So the group dynamic is weaker.
@@44daggers44 Yeah Tony was definitely the central character of Gen 1, it's just that in series 1 Sid got more screen time and was prominent in nearly every episode
@@44daggers44 the show definitely followed the stonems and their friend groups. until gen 3 and it felt almost aimless i dont think there’s much of a central character of gen 3

It's ok, the actress playing her didn't either. April Pearson who played Michelle in Gen 1 did some interviews with Dakota Blue Richards (Frankie) and it really explains everything. The writers are more to blame than the actress.
Why she a freak
I always thought frankie was gonna be a sexual or something totally different to what skins have done before.. but then she just changed into a totally different person in season 6. She turned into everything she hated about girls in season 5. She lost her uniqueness, kinda sucks. Still love her though ❤
That prop gun though, in America it's easier to buy that gun a real one, than it is to actually buy a prop gun that looks so real.

Mini was not a nice person. She was very mean spirited throughout both Seasons 5 and 6. Despite whatever was going on with her in her home life or within herself, that did not give her an excuse to torment and humiliate Franky nor be a bitch to everyone else around her.
@boozleman There are none. People just seem to easily overlook Mini's mean girl antics and excuse them because they find her actress pretty. Let that have been Liv acting like that, though, and the conversation would be totally different.

The fandom makes too many excuses for her behavior. I never stopped disliking her for how she bullied Franky and mistreated Grace and Liv because she still continued to act like a mega bitch until maybe the very last episode of S6.
