Literally all Pandora wanted was a normal birthday with her friends, and they had to ruin it by oversexualising things, making it about themselves (especially Effy) and literally drugging her mom without her knowledge or consent. "PaNdOrA iS aNnOyInG tHoUgH" she's also sweet and caring and doesn't deserve to be dragged around like a laughing stock because people think she's easy to control and manipulate.
So in turn Pandora shags Effy's friend with benefits and actually finished the show with a healthy relationship

@@iliketrains3495 Did she really have it great though? Both Thomas and Pandora cheated on each other on separate occasions - each one causing a rift in their relationship. They're very distant (at times hostile towards each other) throughout season 4, and at the end it's left ambiguous whether they reconcile again or not.
You could kind of argue maybe that Pandora's mum was abusing Pandora by trying to keep her innocent and childlike, even though she was 17 so maybe it was just intended to liven things up a bit. Remember they never planned for all the other people to show up. In the end things do kind of work out for her because she hooks up with Cook which probably wouldn't have happened otherwise. At the time nobody knew, Thomas might never have come back..

I used to think Panda was soooo annoying when I watched this at 13/14 and I was on effy’s side. But now almost being 20, Panda had EVERY RIGHT to be upset. Poor girl. Not all teens wanna do drugs and party and have sex. Plus, panda was going through a hard time and it was HER birthday.
But to he honest Emily was right . They literally drugged her mum without her knowledge. Her mother could have died! It could get serious. Pandora had every right to be upset.

Just to reassure everyone from what I've read you can’t bake MDMA into brownies. The distribution would be all wrong, and the heat would most likely destroy the potency of the drug itself, rendering it useless.
It was just pot brownies, she couldn't have died. But I do 100% agree that drugging her mom without her knowledge was f*cked up. Also snooping around the mother's private sexual life later in the episode was equally tasteless.

I actually couldn't stand Effy, she made everything about her. My favourites were always Pandora, Noaomi and the twins. Effy was just miserable and annoying.

Y'all but it was Katie who put the drugs into the brownie mix, not Eff. How she reacted to Pandora crying in the bathroom was pretty selfish but it wasn't a reason to hate her. Pandora wasn't right either to bring up Effy's parents and depression.

When you get older you understand how realistic it is, I clearly see how selfish and insensitive it is now, but when I first watched this as a teen I manly thought, how can Pandora be so annoying and selfish forcing people into this boring party aware that she only would enjoy, at least they made it fun! and now as an adult I mostly go, wth, they actually drugged her mother, they drugged her own mother. But morality aside, that scene is a classic.
pandora don't force on anyone to came to her party, they go because they wanted, the only selfish person on this episode is effy, she fuck up pandora's birthday doing what she wants, is not pandora fault

She (Katie) seemed very secretive about it, and I don’t think anyone knew until she told Emily (who disapproved of the stunt) and Naomi. But even if Effy was in on it, she didn’t want to upset Pandora - she even attempted to console her and offer to give her a lesson in sex (which Pandora wanted) when Pandora locked herself in the bathroom.

For those of you wondering why Panda wasn’t in Fire, this is why. Effy, Katie, and the rest of the gang were all shitty friends to her.
So then what explains her reason for remaining with the gang well after the events of this episode, huh?
No. It was made VERY CLEAR by the end of Season 4 that she’s going to Harvard, therefore she was likely residing in America not Britain, hence why she didn’t appear in Fire.

No, she wasn't in Fire because from one episode to the next Pandora magically became a genius and got accepted into Harvard. Even tho a few episodes earlier she literally couldn't tell Hamlet from Harry Potter. Gotta love how all over the place the writing for this show was.
Season 7 focuses on the 3 most F-d up characters: Effy, Cassie and Cook. I guess it's less interesting to see what the more functional characters are doing, like Jal, Panda and JJ!

I've never hate Pandora in this scene, not even when I was young because, believe it or not, I'm 27 and never smoke, drug or drink alcohol, so practically I live a boring life, and that's why I was upset with Effy and Katie, because is not fair that they ruin Pandora's birthday, yeah it was kind of boring for them but is not their birthday, is not their house, and the worst thing was they drug Pandora's mom and that's insane. How troublesome they are.

In Effys defense, not only was it Katie who put the drugs in, but Effys Parents had literally split up the exact same day, only a few hours prior to the party, and because of this her Dad left, poor girl was probably heartbroken, I’m not saying this excuses drugging your friends Mum, but Effy was probably having a really horrific day
