No Tommy is not in prison for the right reason. He was on probation for 'contempt of court', that is risking disturbing the outcome of a trial by releasing details, names, etc. that could influence the jury. When Tommy was filming, the denfendants were receiving their sentences, so he could not have had the least influence on the outcome of the trial.. He was arrested on 'suspcion of breach of the peace' outside the court, on public grounds, while he had been asking the cops if he had the right to film. So he didn't breach the peace, and did not infringe his probation on contempt of court. Plus the police lied to his lawyer - telling the lawyer he was going to be released - so Tommy's lawyer could not get there in time for the hearing of Tommy which happened within 3 to 5 hours after his arrest. Lauren Southern reported on that. The appointed lawyer counseled Tommy to plead guilty and this is when he got a 13 months sentence. The fix was in. And proof of that is the press gag order. Since when in ANY actual democracy the state can send someone to prison and make it a crime to report on ?

The problem was that the reason they gave him for arresting him was reporting on confidential information relating the case and putting the people involved in danger, only problem was everything tommy was saying during the live stream was coming directly from a report in the public domain and was all public information
In previously holding Yaxley-Lennon in contempt the Court had concluded that he committed a contempt of court in three respects: first, by breaching a reporting restriction imposed under s 4(2) of the Contempt of Court Act 1981; second, by live-streaming a video from outside the public entrance to the court, the content of which was found to gave rise to a substantial risk that the course of justice in that case would be seriously impeded; and third, by aggressively confronting and filming some of the defendants in that case as they arrived at court, thereby directly interfering with the course of justice.
Those were the reasons given for why he was in contempt of court. Filming aggressively outside of the courthouse was probably one of the main reasons and the fact he had been arrested several months earlier for doing the same thing and warned by a judge not to do it again. Not sure why TR supporters don't understand the simple facts.

No Tommy is not in prison for the right reason.
He was on probation for 'contempt of court', that is risking disturbing the outcome of a trial by releasing details, names, etc. that could influence the jury. When Tommy was filming, the denfendants were receiving their sentences, so he could not have had the least influence on the outcome of the trial..
He was arrested on 'suspcion of breach of the peace' outside the court, on public grounds, while he had been asking the cops if he had the right to film. So he didn't breach the peace, and did not infringe his probation on contempt of court.
Plus the police lied to his lawyer - telling the lawyer he was going to be released - so Tommy's lawyer could not get there in time for the hearing of Tommy which happened within 3 to 5 hours after his arrest. Lauren Southern reported on that. The appointed lawyer counseled Tommy to plead guilty and this is when he got a 13 months sentence.
The fix was in. And proof of that is the press gag order. Since when in ANY actual democracy the state can send someone to prison and make it a crime to report on ?
