Marten and Micky truly are my heroes! They've beaten the odds and are proof that special needs kids can function in society and eventually get a fire started! Thanks for the show guys, I really needed a good laugh. See you again next week. I'm already looking forward to it.
Pacific Ocean :DD
"Wait I'll share my body heat with you" then you proceeded to teabag the $h!t out of poor Mickie... LOL
I lost it at that part, wife gave me that "what the hell is wrong with you??" Look when I randomly burst out laughing
Brought back those sweet sweet Halo memories
Fun to see how a litle white powder makes you two guys look like fish on land. Greetings from Norway. Love you guys. :-*
hahaha!
@@DutchBushcraftKnives Funniest vid ever ! I wish DBK made a real movie. You're like the Dutch New Kids on the block 2.0 !
Semper Fi
Gunny
**GOD that looked salty !
@@DutchBushcraftKnives as a guy from Bremen I can relate to you, we haven't had morethan 0.5cm snow in the last ten years and now it's winter wonderland all of a sudden^^. Scandinavians will never be able to understand our excitement xD
In the last 30 years, we didn’t have this much snow before, it’s almost 30 cm hahahaha
same thoughts from north russia, )) survivors))
WHERE DOES A MAMMOTH STORE HIS KNIFE? IN A TRUNK!
I'll show myself out
The part of Hans Teeuwen made me laugh so hard
Ahhh yes, DBK Z-list acting will always make for a memorable Thursday
You guys have serious cinematic talent
thanks a lot man!
Martin,s face was priceless !! As he teabagged a friction burn on Micky's nose....
"temperature far below zero" *laughs in Fahrenheit"
These guys take knife reviews to a new level. Great work guys!
YES!! the dream knife that costs more than my complete collection, but it's definitely cool af. It's like the Mona Lisa of knifes
The meal prep section of this video had me nearly crying with laughter. Thats the funniest video you’ve done by a long shot.
That’s how I felt when I found my first playboy in third grade! It’s was as if I had been frozen my whole life.
Great tunes as well. Cheers.
A helpful hack for starting a fire in the snow is to laydown a piece of aluminum foil, get the fine tinder/feather sticks burning, remove the foil, fold up and save for next use. There are other methods to avoid puting your tinder on the snow as well.
Bruh ... Less is more.
GTFO with foil
Jepp.. in freezing temps tinder can be super dry,but it could suck the moisture from the ground.. Aluminum foil laid in the ground will help a lot.
I have been watching your videos for the past couple of years. And now when I look for a specific type of knife , I scroll through your videos to see what to buy next. Great videos and greetings from Chicago !
This was one of the funnier videos Iv seen from you guys! The friendship is the most amazing thing!
Mikkie’s dead pose was on point 🤣
That's how ya make a knife commercial!!!
In the world of nerdy knife reviews you guys are a breathe of fresh air glad you didn’t freeze to death 👍
The best part is the Mammoth melding with Mikki !! 💕 🇦🇺
The de lockdown song yess😆
Ahh, a traditional Italian meal of caprese on burnt pane, with some fresh ̶c̶r̶a̶c̶k̶e̶d̶ whole peppercorns. I can picture myself now, dining al fresco on the Italian Riviera while gazing out at the shimmering blue waters of the tranquil Pacific Ocean.
It’s so important to have the tinder bundle made up. That knife strikes a spark pretty well.
Great review guys...
Beautiful knife there!
Much love from Switzerland
Respect boys! It's freezing out there and still, new video as always. Marteen put his soul and heart in that dish :D
Brilliant video as I love it when you two are like this as looks so much fun.
Yes, DBK... Yes, I actually bought this knife to baton with! Will receive mine late June or July !!! Also best customer service from La Cantina!
Reminds me of the time I was in Northern Arizona in January. Was 18°F at noon and snowed so much in two days that the snow plows couldn't get out of their sheds. I am from Georgia. More snow in two days than I've seen in my entire life.
Now this is it. Finally.
Thank you.
A story of disturbed bushcraft boys, redemption and fine dining. We need a feature film...
Ok, so im a bushcrafter from finland (very cold country) by the time writing this its -20 degrees outside.
I actually think its quite easy to make fire in cold climate because im use to it.
Usually the cold taker the moisture from the wood
Know ur not
@@DinoNucci not what
For the love of the knife gods! Great stuff dudes
How cool you guys are!!!
Amazing!
Rock stars you guys are absolutely rock stars! Love the channel!!
This was a fantastic episode
Switch was hands down their best/funniest video.
I love snow too
Spot on David Attenborrow impersonation!
Hahahahaa.... The mammoth exploding, dude! If La Cantina doesn't consider this the best advertisement I don't know what is! xD
Amazing vid DBK keep the good work
It's very nice looking.
I need to see a zoom in on the handle pin. looks like the hole drilled for it is too big and it's not centered. love the ironwood and mammoth combination, might make something similar in the near future.
I'm glad you guys survived.
That's one cooooooold opening!
Another great video.
I'm italian and I really appreciated that beautiful porco dio at 11:33
As a norwegian, I really appreciate this video hahaha
Good video as always mateys. Here its everyday - 15 ish i miss summer haha i hate to be cold myself
This is best episode ever
Bringing the Mammoth back to its native habitat. Nice!
what madlads
Oo wat is het toch een lekker liedje van Hans Teeuwen. Leuk om te zien dat jullie daar ook van genieten. Delen we nu 2 dingen(messen en hansie)
I love the life saving survival skills I learn from you guys I now know how to share body heat
One of your very best intro's ever! Hahaha!
Sharing the body heat and that expression of maarten!! 🤣🤣🤣 I lost it! 🤣
Sooo crasy 😜 ! Best wishes from Germany 👊👍
ah yes, Italy and the Pacific ocean
I see you boys are men of culture
Hahahahaha lovin culture
Lmao the intro to this is golden
Cold weather. The great equalizer.
Absolutely Gorgeous. The blade profile of the knife has a nice chopping belly and the handle being curved the way it does also lends to a chopping stroke. The guard doesn't lend to food prep however ;)
Каждый раз все лучше)))
Nice knife
Comeback of the bloody century.
Knife recurve with handle geometry has some likely surprisingly good power in design --- like a stabby chopper. Accuracy would be unpredictable especially in cold frozen stuff.
No wonder you are freezing, because u dont wear any warm hats. With proper hat, your head doesent lose so much heat -> your brain keeps warm, letting warm blood flow elsewere -> even fingers and toes stay warm, that way making deasent food is easyer and enjoyable!
Hope you visit Norway, Sweden or Finland in the future episodes! Greetings from Finland, love your videos!
Wow I haven't laughed so good in a while
Ahahahhah...awesome video and review...big hugs from Italy.
Epic DBK😂
Now you’ve added a like button for me to always remember. Love it!
Porco dio hahahhahahahhah you're awesome guys
Mickey and Maarten are the Dutch version of Harry and Lloyd. . . 😁
I like Maarten's red pants, they look nice with the boots.
I would love to see you testing a Hinderer XM 18 folder, because no one has done it before, if they are as resilient as they say !
Glad you guys got some reality footage in the DBK woods showcasing some of your everyday video tasks while having snows falling from the sky with a wind chill. Almost every task (even when practiced routinely on easy days) gets more difficult in cold. A lot of people just assume that normal success on a nice day after day is going to be same to close enough on the not so nice days. I'm so pleased you guys kept filming the fire-making demo and food stuff. Yes - of course you could have adapted a few extra practices that would have made the process better... but as people can see... snow, wind, cold, functioning/dexterity (especially when exposed) is not such a walk in the park. Strange blend of handiwork on the knife... looks semi-skinner / personal defense / spaghetti -western movie nostalgia flare.
thanks a lot man. Yes the fire making was definitely hard. In next weeks video we even have more trouble making the fire.
I remember looking at soldiers having to make fire in snow within one minute as hah! piece of cake... but ever since my winter trip to sweden I know better. Especially with powdersnow that keeps falling an instantly melts as you light up the smallest flame making everything instantly wet.
Wat moet moet ik met me lul in de lockdown wel heel erg dit hoor boys 😂 ga zo door jullie vids zijn geweldig
If you're going to play with firesteel at winter - take some birch bark. But in reality - lighter or (better) matches :D
Shit I love you knuckleheads. 😂😜
Aahahah i love the fact that Marteen knows what porco dio is😂😂😂 saluti dall'Italia!
Lmao you bleep out the minor curse words and leave the F* bombs in !!!
Bloody lunatics love it !
So I guess teabagging was invented in the Netherlands as the traditional way to share body heat ... good to know. NOTE to self: Only visit in the summer.
not to worry about that much... cold winters are a rarity here.
lol
Or only go on winter trips with the opposite sex.
@@roel.vinckens just say no homo
„I will share my bodyheat with you...“ 😂🤣 - thank you for another funny video.
Nice tests! I have a suggestion please test M7 from Lionsteel! Still Italian made!
I loooooooooove that intro 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Tea bagging, snow wieners, AAANNND knives!?!?! AMAZING!!!🤣🤣🤣
Review the cold steel bush man pls
It might be the Knob Creek bourbon but I laughed my ass off at this one, possibly the best ever!
I'm so tired of snow!
Note to self, never let Maarten cook bread... Great review guys!
7:26 "This is uncut reality b***es!" *cuts* :D
Winter Hot Video! Really enjoyed it all! Great Work!
I cant believe you made fire with a a fire steel 😁😂
Maarten, good to see your first aide skills outshine your geography knowledge.
That Frank Zappa reference from Nanook of the North about not eating yellow snow came as a surprise!
Edit: you guys have the most impressive GAW's!
Hahahah! Is dat ontahrdingszout voor de vaatwasser? Hahahah!!!! 👍😁
Hey, I thoroughly enjoy your videos and would love to see you guys test out the Spyderco Province CPM 4v knife.
No
Nice Song 🐕
LMAOOOOO THAT INTRO
dude!!! you play a rickenbacker?! those sound phenomenal! oh ya cool video this week by the way... way to butcher the meal lol bushcraftboy!
You guys are frakin entertainers..
Don't lie, guys! YOU COOKED THAT LITTLE BIRD!!
To be fair, it doesn't matter how cold it is, it's about what gear you have on hand to fight it. The gear I have right now is comfortable to even just stand around in -10, but beyond that, have to start shaking, moving or it's going to be really uncomfortably cold. Regardless, if you have gear to hang around at -15 up to -25, it's not going to be comfortable for light colds. So it's just about the gear.
