Hey dear dbk team, I think it's time to talk about our government's legislative proposals, I'm not a fan of third-party advertising but in this case it concerns something that unfortunately we can't close our eyes to forever if we continue to follow our passion as blameless citizens want to pursue. In Germany it currently looks as if our right to own and use knives will soon be revoked. I think it will only be a matter of time before other countries follow suit. My concern is to draw attention to the "VDB Association of German Gunsmiths and Weapons Dealers" because they are currently the only ones trying to defend our rights before the state, but this requires the necessary reach. I would be happy if you would clarify this and make others aware of the VDB. I don't want to live in a world in which DBK can only send tiny wiener knives to Germany.

I’ve still got my grandfathers Buck knife, and his Schrade Hunter, from the 60’s. The steel is crap, the sheaths are crap, the handles are crap, but I still love them. It’s more of a nostalgia thing. I wish Buck, and Schrade would clean up their act and make their knives with better steel, and I won’t buy one until they do, but they will always have a place in my heart.

I got a nice knife I use for opening bottles\packages and after cleaning it slicing calamari as a prep cook at hard knocks on padre island Texas. The TIVOLI Ulu 5inch )it’s Cheap serves its purpose and well enough made for its price, best knife I’ve ever gotten for 27 dollars feel free to check em out

I have Chinese made knives that i guarantee are better than anything 99.99% of people get from a us maker. I've also got Chinese made knives that i don't trust to cut packing tape.

I did meet Felix in Germany on a bushcraft gathering. These things you never visit. I respect the man for his tips and tricks with an SAK but this knife has jimping so it's an instant no for me. I also don't like an these gadgets on the sheath and knife.

@DutchBushcraftKnives Can you tell me how the F1X COS blade and carving ability compare to the NL5 COS? I'm wondering if they're comparable or is the Idun COS better because of the higher overall grind. I want to get one or the other for my vacation starting July 4. I can buy the F1X now, but so far unable to find the NL5 Idun COS. I'm still searching. BTW, great show and heartwarming friendship!
