This cinematic was made using the "Age of Mythology™: The Titans Expansion Pack" video game, with the intent of creative expression. The final version of the New X Editor (available at AOM Heaven) was utilized. All units and sounds are original to the game; no mods were used.
Age of Mythology Retold is coming September 4, 2024 to Xbox and PC :)
the fact that this guy has made so many better cinematics better than the tall of the dragon expansion
Not a high bar to clear imo.
tales of the dragon was basically a mod pack. The publisher gave the devs zero resources, so it was all they could really do.

I started playing that game when I was 10 years old. I am now 21 years and I still play it. It's one of my favourite games.
Absolutely love this video. It reminded me of my childhood - Age of Mythology was the first game I bought with my own money, when I was like 10 years old. The copy of AOM was this dingy beat up box left in the corner of the PC games shelf at the store, because for months everyone picked it up to look and put it back down. No one bought it for weeks. Luckily with some allowance, chores and grandma gift money I finally had enough to buy it myself. I finished the game entirely and spent hours just reading the ingame encyclopedia. It started my fascination with greek mythology, which now lives with me until now. Even as a soon-to-be lawyer I still have this great interest for greek history, and I own it to this game.
Thanks to this game i discovered my love for mythology, Growing up i realized that it was there with me, that no matter the day I could build a city, or fight a cyclops, listen to Athena and Arkantos, this game watched me grow and it will always have a place in my dreams, close to my heart.
This game is perfectly fine. It doesn't need a remaster. It needs a great tournament with a great prize pool to reignite people's interest.

I used to love making scenenic maps like these in map editor as a kid. I'm glad to see someone took the childhood hobby of mine to such excellence.

Woah man, I just binged your AoM cinematic videos and I have to say they are absolutely amazing, so many gorgeous shots in all of them! I always enjoyed making artistic scenes in the age of empires series, aoe 2/3 and aom the most, and everything youve done here is astonishing compared to the hours of work ive been in. I can only imagine the time to accomplish this, amazing work!
