      The older man standing with the cane is actually a self portrait of the man who painted the picture. My understanding is that he is not a member of the church but was commissioned to do this.

      Except for the Masonic rituals which the video won’t show. Just making an statue of Christ just to give the impression that Christ is at the center is not enough, the church needs to follow his teachings which is largely based on the New Testament, feed the hungry, care for the poor, the needy, the orphans, the widow. This church is worth almost half trillion dollars and doesn’t have a single orphanage in a poor country, or homeless shelter, but it does own hotels, resorts, buildings, luxurious temples, shopping malls, etc. Think!

    When people say that we can go to hell because we believe 'in a different Jesus', I really don't think a loving God would send someone to hell for believing something different about Him if that was true.
    I just can't imagine God saying: 'So, you tried to live a Christlike life of serving others, huh? You did your best to have faith in me and repent...well, sorry, but you think I have a body of flesh and bones and that's a big no-no.' (For those who say we believe works save us...that's simply not the case...don't quote 2 Nephi 25, a verse lost in the context of the chapter and the book).

      I feel like that can be applied to any religion. If you try to live a good life and help as many people as you can, it doesn't really matter what God you believe in. So far, I've only found every God to have very conditional love.

    • @GusHdzRuiz
      @GusHdzRuiz Před rokem +1

      @@unicorntamer2207 Yes, I think you're right. Of course, for different reasons we believe the God you put your faith in does matter in the long run. However, responding to the claims of a different Jesus, I simply think that if Jesus is real, He wouldn't send people to hell because they believe he's a spirit, or a body, because they still see Him as the Savior of the world and put faith in Him. I don't think God has a very conditional love, I know the commandments and rules in every religion make it seem as if God hates you if you do not obey. I believe that that is not the case, regardless of what some members may say. God loves everyone, He may not reward everyone the same, but I do believe His love is unconditional.

I don't know. I was a member of the LDS church all growing up. I left at 19 because I lost my faith in the plan of salvation. I'm trying to figure things out and I'm looking all over the place and engaging in conversation everywhere. I do think that if there is a God, their love is unconditional. But I find the LDS Heavenly Father's love very conditional. He won't send you to hell but he might send you to eternal time out and banish you from ever being in his presence.

      @@unicorntamer2207 I went through a faith crisis a few years ago and I read anything that could be said against the Church. I've had very special experiences since then and some answers have come. I guess I also had to accept I don't have all the answers and be ok with having faith, I hope it works out for you.
      I've asked myself that too at times: is the Terrestial Kingdom really any good when you know there are people in the Celestial Kingdom? In my opinion, I think that 1. Anything sounds better than hell haha, and 2. The scriptures describe the kingdoms as containing glory beyond what we can imagine. If one would feel eternally frustrated of falling short...I don't think that would be a glory beyond what we can imagine. So I believe those places will be enough for those who end up there. As I said, I believe His love is unconditional even if He rewards everyone according to their works because He never says 'don't come', He has His arms wide open all day long.
      Anyways, I hope you find a path that gives you peace and wish you the best.

We just know there are things that have been hidden changed removed from the Bible y conspiring men and the people in the Americas also had prophets who had been instructed to record their history and beliefs. The same as was done in the bible, Faithful men as directed by their Lord recorded the happenings of their day. Is it really so hard to believe that Heavenly Father would have a second witness for us to know these things are true that Jesus was the Christ that he lived and died for us? The prequel is that we lived in a premortal realm with personality and attributes and agency, God wanted us to grow to be like Him so he had a plan of salvation where Jesus was to be sent to die for us and live again so that we might come back to our Father. The directors cut where not only did Jesus die for our sins but he also took upon himself our weaknesses, our afflictions, our doubts, our shortcomings. He visited his people in the Americas showing he loves his children all around the world. The sequel where we can become like Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. We can have an inheritance with Jesus Christ. We can receive ALL that the Father has. We can have eternal life if we follow God's plan. We’re told in the Bible (the ONLY Word of God) that we will be deceived by those who we think we can trust in the final days.
