    If you find plastic in the valve body the internal filter has failed. This filter can be replaced with the use of a heat gun. If you need more room to get the valve body out removing the 2 bolts in the rear transmission mount and pulling the engine and transmission back with the use of an reattach strap will give a lot more room.

      hi, will make a vid on replacing the internal filter in car when i get opportunity, however most will probably ruin the plastic on filter. before they get it back in. if plastic from clutch spring retainers shredded, then not worth doing this repair. thanks for that cheers

      @@YepThatsIt i like a challenge , if im not learning im not happy, im one of those oddballs who spent his early years doing significant mods to 60's and 70's cars upgrading brakes, steering, putting completely different drive lines in etc, it was fun and maybe a waste of money but i sure learnt alot.
      i havent changed and ive learnt so much, ive done all kinds of courses and built and repaired things that people thought was a total waste of time until they saw the end result then they were amazed and complimented me which actually amazed me , its all in the way you approach life .
      i enjoy your videos and the person that you are i think with my puny brain your the kinda guy who actually cares about his fellow man, thats how we should all be.

    Thanks for all your videos.
    It has helped me get my car go again, but recently had the same issue you talked about losing odd gears.
    I did the cleaning and changed all solenoidswith new ones. then car worked fine for 2 days, then started playing losing reverse. I stop car and restart to get it to work few time. But now it only has 2nd gear. Any idea of anything I missed 😢.

      hi, hard to say without testing first and having a look, but sounds like sensors are contaminated with fine metallic debris or the sensors have loosened on the shift forks? . and were the solenoids new or implied to be new? so many things to check....cheers

      Hi, thanks for the answer. Sensors seem to be well in position. I bought solenoid from online shop, supposed to be brand bew (but I doubted, as it showed 2.9 ohms). Diagnosis is showing a default P1759. Should I change all solenoids again 😢?

    Hi!! 😢 my wife has a 2012 Smax power shift DCT450. Transmission malfuntion 150,000km. Rebuilt the clutch, new friction plates and spacers, new springs and retainers (plastic broke off and blocked everything) cleaned the mechatronic, valve bodies and demagnetised and cleaned (tested) solinoids and blew compressed air to clean the fork sensors. New oil, internal and external filters and cleaned the transmission oil cooler as you demonstrated in your video. Put it all back and did a clutch and shift fork relearn that was successful. Test drive, warning light came on again... solinoid D Stuck, shift fork A stuck.
    Any suggestions? Dredding pulling the gearbox out again😢

    What do you do if the plastic spring clips are broken? Do you replace those along with the springs or put in a new clutch pack in it ?

      hi, make sure you get a quality kit or the crappy plastic will not last long. this is why many just opt for a complete new genuine clutch. cheers

      hi, you often need to do a reset/relearn. when you put it back together sometimes you will have a no movement issue. try restart a few times and select gears and it should accept the gears eventually. just make sure you initially have enough fluid in trans, and dont forget to also warm it right up, then let cool to test temp. this purges out air in the cooling line filter circuit. cheers
