Excellent video as always but Halland class has a special place in my heart. The museum mentioned is very centrally located in Gothenburg. Also outside Gothenburg there is an Air Force museum, Aeroseum, with many Cold War era Swedish planes and awesome "hangar in a mountain".

Mm visit the Aeroseum, it might disappear soon. It seems like the AF might retake the base. Is nicely located for NATO

The missile 08 has a top speed of 900km/h, not 90. A car would then been able to drive away from it :)

It’s always special to see Swedish weapon systems and on top of that there’s a bit of history about the shipyard industry from my hometown of Gothenburg. Thanks!

Very interesting video! I would like to give you props for the Swedish pronunciation, much closer then most people ever get!

Particularly the name HMS “Göta Lejon” is hard for non-Swedish speaking people to pronounce.

@@Tramseskumbanan Hell, even for us non-danes up north of Skåne pronouncing Göta meets some resistance ;)

So do you want to be a gun, a missile or a torpedo destroyer? Sweden: Yes.

Oh, yes, great! I have been all over HMS Småland, which is open to visitors in Gothenburg (yea, thats a cool name in english, very Warhammer). Looking forward to seeing here in action in the glory days. Especially with that magical Weapon detective deep dive into the movie archives!

Still remebering entering the shipyard sections in the underground Muskö naval base and meeting the view of a Halland-class destroyer in the drydock inside the mountain. It was a breathtaking view with thoose really mighty warship inside, even if room was enourmous they filled up the room completely. There was some kind of telescope arragement for the main mast so it could be lowered before entering the tunnel entrance leading in to the docks. And then all the constant action around the ship with service crew etc.... The scenery could have been cut right into any Bond or SciFi movie, but cooler as it was all real stuff.....

There was a slight difference between HMS “Halland” and HMS “Småland” when it came to technical terms. The control of the steam to the turbines on Halland was operated manually while Småland had a pneumatic system that made the control of the steam somewhat easier.

They are really nice looking ships! Being designed for arctic operations (my first thought when you mentioned the all-internal layout), I imagine they could get a bit warm down in Columbian waters.
