I'm so proud of him! I watched this boy grow up from 2013 Bts into the artist he is today. He is finally doing a solo album that is way overdue...people need to chill and give him the creative license to express himself. I think this album is great. His vocals are amazing. I've listened to this album 3 times and he has impressed me with a great 1st album. God only knows how good his 2nd album will be as he experiments on an artistic level. Well done Jimin! You did that! 💙🌺

This face album has way more artistical meanings in the way he said The FACE DESCRIPTION ..its his inner thoughts in different appearances, In the concept photos..software hardware versions..the moon phases reflects his face positions...the set me free performance whole choreography and lyrics...the main track like crazy has moreeee deep meanings...the tracks poetry lyricism..all tracks orders....the interlude :dive ....the like crazy english versions gap started at 6:13 his letter ...all the story telling from his order..his hidden song that he only want army knows....everything was breakdown and OMG WHAT I GOT IS SO ARTISTRY...NO ONE UNDERSTANDS BESIDES ARMIES...OMG WHAT IS IT...I THINK EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW HIS REAL FACE ALBUM ...WHAT A CREATIVITY ..HONESTLY AFTER LISTEN TO HIS ALBUM...I GIVE HIM 8 /10..becoz i dont know things...BUT MAN AFTER KNOWING EVERY LITTLE AND DEEP THINGS ABOUT ALBUM TRACKS ( he uses two voices his many and feminine voice ..in alone track ...there is two harmonies going on..its like his man voice and feminine voice blends...EVERYTHING AS A WHOLE ...EVERYTHING IS INTENTIONAL from start AS HE USED AUTOTUNES SHOWING HIS DARK THOUGHTS...EVERYTHING IS HIS INNER FEELINGs..EVERYTHING IS HIS REFLECTION..THE DARK THOUGHTS THE CONVERSATIONS IN LYRICS ALL TO HIMSELF...THE DANCE PERFORMANCES MOVES shows darkest overwhelming thoughts ...spiral maze...liftings the way they move away from him at start ..everything hand movements..dancers do same...BACKUP DANCERS IS HIS DARK THOUGHTS.....OPPS ARE NOT HATERS HIS INNER DARK THOUGHTS.

"reflection" of vulnerable minds and unexposed wounds. Face, the reflection of myself in and unfamiliar appearance. Face of facing the deepest part of inner-self. (Circle of Resonance reminds me of the three circles on the Album Cover)
Waves originated from the deepest invisible inner world, pass through the face on the surface and reach others to resonate while transmitting the inner voice.
Wave spreads beautifully, finding it's own flow despite wounds and distortions from a smallest scratch.
The face of unwavering effort despite repeated falls and pain.
Jimin also said in an Interview:
I'm so thankful to my members for inspiring me to start working on this album. I don't know how people are going to react to the music, but I actually was able to completely resolve and move on from all those feelings of being lost. I'm perfectly okay now, so I'm so very thankful to them. I just wrote the emotions as they were, exactly how I felt two years ago, and the emotions that I felt in every situation at that time.
Surprise: There is also a hidden track at the end of the Album named Letter. Background Vocals is done by Jungkook and Jimin playing the guitar. it’s a Letter to himself, BTS and ARMY and its also the 7th song of the album.

I feel like Jimin’s album elevated my EQ too.
The way I interpreted the album, based on the lyrics, imagery and what Jimin himself has said; this was an album that touches upon his depression throughout the pandemic as well and his identity. Except for the hidden track (which reads exactly like a love letter), I interpreted the album as him questioning who he is. Rather than alcohol (although it can be a big part of it), it feels like he used to get drunk on the fame and his work, and not that he was without it he was questioning who he was without it. SMF, for example, touches upon how the expectations from outside sources made him suppress a lot of who he was but no longer. n his interviews over the last few days Jimin said that this whole album is inspired by how he was so depressed over the pandemic. He found not performing in front of fans so hard and there are many times over the pandemic there were behind the scenes videos were he said how hard he found performing without fans.
Regarding Like Crazy, Jimin said that it’s about escaping reality to deal with one's wounds. The "she" he is referring to isn't necessarily about a love interest but possibly represents Jimin's Anima. We see a girl whose movements mirror Jimin in the mv, they never meet before Jimin cuts to looking at himself in the mirror. What does the Anima means? - An individual's true inner self that in the analytical psychology of Carl Jung reflects archetypal ideals of conduct. Your anima is the unconscious part of your mind that works automatically, without introspection or awareness. Some psychologists believe one’s anima affects your dreams, fears, and habits (loop this back to what the song is all about).
The person with muddy hands who grabbed Jimin is Jimin himself. What do the mud represent? I'm not 100% sure, but my own personal reading is its Jimin's depression related to COVID (and the lack of live performances which he defined himself to) and long standing anxiety. These are the wounds mentioned but not elaborated by our baby. In the MV, Party Jimin is interrupted by the mud and he has to go home to Sad Jimin. Which of the 2 Jimin’s is in the real world? I haven't figured that out yet :( Maybe both of them are not, hence the dreamlike feel of the mv. Jimin himself asked not to be saved and not to be waken up from the dream. He doesn't want to go back to reality...
This mv reminds me of Suga's SHADOW but we are dealing with a different part of the SELF here, one not explored by BTS yet. RM did PERSONA while Hobi did EGO.
There's so much loneliness and desperation, under the cheery synthpop, I feel. He has said the dream he wants to stay in is BTS...so I took this song as a depiction of his anxiety during the pandemic, when they couldn't perform live, and he was feeling lost...he didn't want to be ripped from the dream, wanted to stay lost in the lights (of performing), didn't want the pandemic to break him. And I think the song also speaks of his other struggles, the tussles between his personas, etc. I felt it was so much deeper than I thought at the first listen. He has expressed those emotions so eloquently in his writing and conveyed them so effectively in his voice.
Like Crazy is very, very queer coded to me, which is not something new for Jimin, by the way. The way the woman (both in the MV and the choreo) mirrors him, it feels like a fight between femininity and masculinity, with him embracing both in the end. That, along with the inclusion of Mapplethorpe (which he has referenced before in his photopholio) and a hinted at WLW couple, made me relate a lot. As a queer person, the shot of Jimin standing above a video of people kissing striked me as an image with such loneliness, feeling as if love is unattainable for you, not seeing yourself in any of the images of love out there, being alienated of everything people make love to be...Also, the Anima is an inner feminine part of the male personality. Hence the boy and girl kissing is probably Jimin's masculine and feminine side coming together.
Jimin: Like Crazy is inspired by the movie Like Crazy. The recorded voices at the beginning and end of the song describe perfectly what I wanted to convey. Also, and I quote: "It's about a painful feeling of loosing oneself *while searching for a loved one* in a dream and wanting to stay in that dream forever".
That anima "theory" is pure bs stretched and pulled out of nowhere. First, Jimin has never struggled with himself or his identity to begin with. Second, he literally said what the song is about already over 10 times in interviews, shows, his lives, everywhere. Can y'all stop watching any BTS content or even SOLO music through a fucking MOTS concept prism?? And stop treating him like a character?? He's a person, not someone for you to "analyse" or "theorize" about. You can use the song to relate to YOUR situation or feelings, but not impose yours onto him. It's fucking inhumane.
Lastly, if you're so much in love with Carl Jung, the mirror imagery IN HIS THEORIES most commonly applied to partnership and romantic relationships, as partners often mirror their emotions and project it on one another. Literally Psych 101. Funny how this "interpretation" would actually perfectly fit the song, lyrics, MV and even choreography. But since it doesn't cater to your fantasies, it's not valid, huh?
