Brutally honest is good too. I loved the ease of applications, so I've amassed about 70 shadow sticks from Laura Mercier, Bobbi Brown, By Terry's Ombre, Chanel, Mally, Lancome, Nars, Kiko, Elf, Beauty Pie and Charlotte Tilbury. And I can easily say the cream of the crop for me are Laura Mercier's caviar sticks.
I find the blendability second to none and the color ranges blows every other shadow sticks out of the water. It looks like shimmering molten liquid on me and doesn't crease on my oil slick eyelids. Bobbi Brown does have the best staying power, but they can be patchy and they set too fast, so they are reserved for heavy duty needs like long flights. Overall, I prefer LM shimmers and BB mattes.
I love to see when people specialize in a special formula! Which do you find to have the most sparkle in Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier?

I have very oily eyelids and the Laura Mercier sticks work well for me. I do tend to wear them as a base to my powder eyeshadows, but they also last well on their own. I have a couple of the Bobbi brown ones and I feel that they do not last as long. Saying that do feel that some LM shades are better than others. In the past I had to return a few because they were rubbish.

I've been using caviar sticks for a year or two now and love them, no problems at all. I have a Bobbi Brown shadow stick coming now, anxious to compare them.

Laura Mercier is better overall, but it's dependent on the shades too. I've got about 40 sticks and 30 BB sticks.
I recently just got the Bobbi Brown eyeshadow sticks, and I love them so far. I have 6 colors so far, and the staying power is exceptional. I do wish they’d come out with more shades with the finish of Truffle (non-sparkly shimmer). Great review!

@@EatSleepMascara ha I’ve picked up 2 more since my comment. I have vanilla, nude beach, Heather steel, mica, mulberry, dusty mauve, golden pink, and truffle. Truffle is my favorite but Heather steel is beautiful in the outer corner to darken a look. And for a matte look, nude beach is amazing. Honestly, they are all really great! I just ordered the LM caviar 3 pack exclusive off Nordstrom with ginger, cashmere and sunrise for $45. These will be my first LM.
Also, I got a 4 pack set of cream eyeshadow sticks brand RealHer at Costco for $15 last week. There are 3 mattes and 1 shimmer, but they performed lovely as well. I use the neutral matte in the crease and the deeper brown (looks similar to BB bark) in the outer V. As someone who loves powder shadows (I have Tom ford, Viseart, Natasha denona, etc) I am loving the sophisticated look and lasting power of these cream shadows for these 42 year old eyes. ❤️❤️
Great video. You came up with some creative ways to test and film, thank you! I'm a big fan of the Bobbie Brown sticks, I have 11 of them now and want to get more LOL. I'm new to trying the Laura Mercier and have 2 colours. I tried one yesterday and it stayed okay. I so love the way Bobbie Brown sticks blend too, but find I do have to blend right away before they set. What colours are you wearing on your eyes in the last segment? Looks beautiful.

I got both sets. I wish Bobbie Brown set comes with a dark brown rather than the dark red color. It would have been perfect!
totally agreed... i do love the dark red for fall though! i think it'll be great if you want to just use it to define your eyes :)

ah bummer... have you tried setting down with a light layer of powder? sometimes that can help...
Completely 100% agree. Laura Mercier also has a limited colour range, particularly in the Matt's.
yes totally agreed on the color range! rather surprising but maybe it's because they can't get the formula right ;)
Actually, Laura Mercier Caviar has more shade ranges than Bobbi Brown. But Bobbi Brown has three more pure mattes than Laura Mercier.
