I love how he pointed out what they did wrong precooking, but not in a rude way. Rather he used it as a teaching moment for all of us. Chef Pepin is amazing.
So glad you enjoyed watching!
That was so cool of him to be nice about it!
@@MikeTheBarber63 He's a real teacher. He's forgotten more about cooking and food than most of us will ever know, but he's not above teaching the basics. I love that about him.
He is such a master, and class acut
Class act
Jacques is simply the best. Cherish him while we have him.
He owns 5 honorary doctor titles. Imagine being so good at something, that you earn a degree for it without even attempting. And then repeat it 5 times.
The intrawebz is forever. Long live Le Jacques!
She's so cute. I love her mannerisms. Such a charming young lady and she seems passionate about the experience.
Imagine meeting like, literally your hero and having the chance to cook with them. I'd be the same way if Pepin were in my kitchen
What a master. I cannot tell you how much that I admire him. Jacque Pepin is a gentleman and a hero.
Glad you enjoyed watching, Barbra!
He's the best! The Master
Never ever stop pouring Jacques Pepin a glass of wine; it's his fuel. :)
A legend. If you watch his older cooking shows, you can see he was years ahead of his time on many subjects, from cooking technique to nutrition and health. He just knows cooking in and out. It's no wonder Julia chose him to work with over other chefs on a cooking series as well.
I love watching Jacques. Turkey won't pass my lips, i drove past a turkey farm long ago on a hot summer day, windows down. The stench was so thick in the air I could taste it. That experience is in every bite of turkey even 40 years on! My contribution to the High and Holy Feast of the Great and Dreadful Fowl is smoked ham and a glaze I make from scratch. There is always left over turkey, but never any of my ham to take home. But eat more turkey! More ham for me!
Jacques Pépin is the epitome of the charming French gentleman. God bless him
THE Master!! Others may be trained, and others may be damned good. But the true technician, teacher, mentor and friend to all of us is Jacques Pepin. No other chef can possibly compare in skill and/or experience.
Hi Brendan, so glad you enjoyed watching Jacques!
You can feel her honest excitement working with a living legend. My best to them both.
Another glass of wine, hilarious! I love it
😂😂😂
This makes me smile and smile and smile.
I could watch and listen to him all day long.
I recommend watching him to people who are restless… it’s damn therapeutic… such serene presence
I love Jacques Pepin, his cooking seems so effortless. A true master.
Jacques Pepin has x-ray vision and is powered by wine.
Still the man i met him in the kitchen i was working at in 1977 he was watching us cook genoise with a sterno can under a kitchen aid bowl he said to me one day you will be chef i never forgot that 42 years ago
Richard Solis are you a chef now
Jacque is so loved ,but this young lady Kristen has a very wonderful personality. I so Enjoyed this !
love how he always brings up his mother or wife in these videos. always thinking of them! adorable
He’s the one chef, of all the famous chefs, that I would love to cook with and learn from.
This man is a national treasure. Following his recipes always lead to delicious success 🙌
My wife and I actually shed tears watching the last episode of his last series ever on PBS. We have both learned and love this great man. Having his daughter and granddaughter with him on TV is pure gold.
PBS has had some amazing people & shows over the years. It breaks my heart when their funding gets cut.
Jacques Pepin moves about the bird without hesitation, he has a keen understanding of what to expect with each cut.
Pepin is my favorite chef/cooking program of all time. I love his work.
My father and I always pulled the wishbone. He would save it for me and it was out "thing" to do. It wasn't until I was all grown up that I caught on that I was always the winner. He would change the rules each time so I would get my wish.
so sweet!

Zero wasted motion, a true master.
Love Jacques Pepin! Over the years, I've learned so many wonderful cooking techniques from him as well the joy and encouragement to make a recipe your own.
So glad you enjoyed watching, Cynthia!
I could literally watch this man talk about anything, and have since I was 5, one of my biggest inspirations thank you Jacques!
Great video. Your turkey also looked amazing.
Pepin reminds me so much of my family. Especially my grandmother. She passed away nearly 2 years ago. Nearly 98. French Canadian and just had a natural way with food. Mother of 11 children and still could make a batch of 12 loaves of the best bread ever at 93 years old.
Pepin is so normal to me. I wish I'd had more time with my grandmother.
Your grandmother sounds lovely -- thanks so much for sharing, Patrick!
"Are you gonna tell us what you wish for?" "For ANOTHER glas of wine, of course!" - classic french habits...
😂😂 I was looking for this comment. So funny. So down to earth.
I could watch him all day!
Us too!
What a sweet and charming person we have been blessed with in Jacques Pépin.
Jacques Pepin just makes me smile. I was smiling like an idiot at work watching this.
My favourite chef of all time, what a gentleman. The Jean Belliveau of the culinary world
The man is a legend! I attribute to him all of the cooking that I do. I watched many of his videos and I followed his directions. Many thanks to you Mr. Pépin!
So glad you enjoyed watching, Evan!
I didn't know about taking the wishbone out of the turkey first, but will remember it when I cook the Thanksgiving Turkey. I have only cut up part of one turkey and have to get ready for the turkey I am going to bake in my counter top roaster. I like the way Jacques Pepin carved up the turkey and the knife he used have to be very sharp also.
Hope your turkey went well, Sidney!
Goals! Dreams! To cook with Chef Pepin!
Glad you enjoyed watching Jacques, Shereen!
Grace on both sides. A master that one is.
He’s a genius, so entertaining and an amazing teacher. God bless him and his family for the loss of his wife last week.
Hats off to Chef Pepin
What a lovely clean life. Never fails to put a smile on my face.
Wat a guy! No rudeness at all.
Oh, Mr. Pépin, you’re such a graceful institution! Hands down to you!
What a nice guy. Always willing to teach. I have learned more from him that anyone else.
One of the most beautiful interactions I've overseen in cooking
He’s just a great guy and an inspiration.
the original chef of america the legend
Cheff Pépin: this part I usually cut before the cooking..
Cheff Ramsey: what did you do?! Yo fooken dohnkey!
@Axiom Steel26 sure thing
No naming names, Jacque once said he did not at all enjoy any TV show or have anger or language to berate a starting cook. Nuff, said about his style.
When it comes to anything food Jacques is the master.I love to watch his shows.
Jacques is the best. Love him!!! 💖
Thee master, his technique is second nature.
Jacques is amazing.
Absolutely lovely in so many ways! I will memorise it for sure!!
I Love that i have had the pleasure of watching chef Jacques skills on youtube.
I could watch Jacques all day!
The two of you together - wonderful.
I love Jacques Pepin. My grandmother was from Bar-Le-Duc and he always makes me think of her.
Jacques is the best , bar none. Awesome video. I've seen him remove the thigh bone out raw, then fill the cavity with stuffing, then wrap the thigh with foil. Then bake it. The sinew trick is awesome on the legs.
The Bob Ross of Food.
Jacques is quite good too.
Loved100%❤️
I have always been in love with this man.
So easy when you know. Thank you 🙏
Glad you found this video useful, Anne!
I love this man!
jacque pepin is such a legend. only can make these guys the old way through the romance of food in family and culture. less brain and more heart... pure love leads to finesse and details
I just love this incredible guy. My favorite Chef of all time - he’s truly a treasure and never ceases to amaze.
This is so funny to watch. Her lovely and adorablesmile, the natural way of Mr Pepin. Wonderful.
Both seem to be gentle lovely humans. Love it
A true legend
Thanks ! Learned something new about carving
So glad you found this video useful, Karen!
Jacques is an inspiration and a gentle teacher, even if he did like to dab things on his granddaughter's nose to tease her!
A great treasure - thanks for finding ways to feature him!
Bookmarked. Great video.
I wish I would have watched this before Thanksgiving last year but will carve my turkey's from now on like this thank you Jacques love you .
Master class. There is a video in which Chef Pepin demonstrate the techniques in a chicken. Great video! Plus he also went over chicken trussing technique. His videos are a must for any cook.
Glad you enjoyed watching, George!
Adore him ❤️
I love Jaques Pe'pin. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed watching, Patricia!
Pepin is perfect....wow!
He i such an awesome teacher and I love his knife techniques
Amazing.
I bow to you Chef Pepin, you are a true treasure.
What a charming man. Good bless him.
Always the best you still are the master!!!
That man is the reason I love to cook.
Greatest guy ever.
He's wonderful and I love you for making this video. Such a great teacher.
But lol you gave him the tiniest cutting board for carving a turkey.
A true “celebrity” chef!!
Absolutely charming! 💐🤗
We agree :)
Hilarious. I love that look he gives her right after the mild guilt-inducing admonishment of removing the leg bones that stick out *before* cooking. "The second thing I like to do..." .
He is just amazing! I loved watching him and Julia Child cook together. An Amazing pair!
Now this is wholesome.
My hero
Love Jacques Pepin! :-)
😀😀😀
Such the Gentleman :)
I have his book salute to healthy cooking everytime I see this gentleman I think about Julia Child
Essential knowledge because knives cause down time. Thanks Grand Master!
Inspiring!
Très bien Jacque 🇺🇸❤️
Legend
Only if I can get the chance to sit with this legend and have a glass of wine
I would love too see more videos of him I didn't know about the wishbone when it's still cold
My family fights for the skin while the bird is being carved!! Fine times as all watch the "show". Chef Jacques is a true cultural icon and master at his craft. We should cherish his talents and that he loves to show us all how its done.
