FYI - not really an Italian dish. It is a Chicago sandwich created by the Italian American immigrants.
You should try the combo. A sandwich with both the Italian beef and Italian sausage. And if you do not like heat, use roasted bell peppers instead of the giardiniera.

It was fantastic my friend.. I made quesadillas with it the next day and they were off the chain.
That looked darn good. I usually add green peppers and mushrooms with the onions. BTW, that blah blah blah is pronounced Jar-De-Nair. No idea how they got that out of giardiniera, it's a Chicago thing...LOL

@@JaxxDrinkwater”ia” in Italian is pronounced “ah”. Gian is John, not Gee-on. Giada is Jah-Dah, not Jee-ah-dah, etc.
Also, giardiniera had an ‘a’ at the end. For some reason, Italian Americans drop the vowels at the end of words.
Capicola - Italian Americans say cap-i-cole.
giardiniera - pronounced Jar-din-ear
