- How To Rotisserie a Turkey For Beginners. In this video I'll show you how to rotisserie a turkey from start to finish, from grill set up all the way to how I carve my turkey. Never serve a dry turkey again. Keep in mind that this fool-proof method will have people requesting you do the turkeys every year. There are two turkeys I love and a golden fried turkey and this rotisserie turkey. Sometimes fried turkey is just not economical. You by all that peanut oil only to use it once, for one turkey. This is the better option if you're not made of money or you don't have more than one turkey to fry.

Awesome video Jaxx! Hook N Cook, now that's the way to go! Man I loved the color on that bird. The char against the reddish color looked fantastic! This is a great video for anyone, not just beginners. Cheers!
Thanks Rus. This was my first time making a rotisserie turkey and I was a bit nervous but it really turned out great. I still prefer fried turkey but this is the second.

Thank. you Bull!
You never mentioned the bottom vent & whether you have that open & how much.
Jaxx, you are still bringing your setup over on Thanksgiving to cook one of those bad boys for the fam; right?
hahah heck yea man.
I know this was made a year ago but I do have a question and hope you see it. Is it possible that when the outside of the turkey gets to the color you want to wrap it in tinfoil to help keep it from getting too dark?
Yes, that's totally doable!
What do you use to clean your skewer and forks?
I knock what I can off and just stick it in the dishwasher. I have just let them soak in hot soapy water a few times and it was a breeze. Honestly, they clean up really quickly and easily.
Do you brine your turkey's before you grill or smoke them?
Not typically, but I have randomly. When I do, I use a dry brine.
